වසර දෙදහස් දහනවයේදී මෙරට ළාබාලතම බිලියනපතියා ලෙස පෙනී සිටිමින්, කොළඹ තරු පන්තියේ හෝටල්වල සිට මහා පරිමාණ මූල්‍ය ජාවාරමක් මෙහෙයවූ පුද්ගලයෙකු වසර හයකට පසු පොලිස් මූල්‍ය අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසය මගින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබේ. පොලිස් කණ්ඩායම් රැසක් වසර හයක් පුරා ලුහුබැඳි මෙම සැකකරු කොටුවන විට, ඔහු හෝමාගම පිටිපන ප්‍රදේශයේ සැඟවී අන්තර්ජාලය ඔස්සේ සාස්තර කියමින් සිටි බව පොලිසිය පවසයි.
අනිල් බණ්ඩාර නමැති මෙම සැකකරු, 'Fast 3 cycle' නමින් පවත්වාගෙන ගිය පිරමිඩ ජාවාරමේ ප්‍රධාන ජාවාරම්කරු වේ. ලොව පුරා පිහිටි අධි සුඛෝපභෝගී හෝටල් එකසිය පනහක කාමර රුපියල් දහඅට දහසක් වැනි සුළු මුදලකට ලබා දෙන බව පවසමින් ඔහු මෙම ආයෝජන ක්‍රමය ක්‍රියාත්මක කර තිබුණි. පසුගිය කාලයේදී ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව විසින් ද මෙය පිරමිඩ ජාවාරමක් බවට නම් කරනු ලැබීය.
විමර්ශනවලින් හෙළි වී ඇති පරිදි, ඔහු විසින් වංචා කර ඇති මුදල රුපියල් ලක්ෂ දහඅටහසකි. මෙම වංචාවට හසුවූ තැන්පත්කරුවන් සංඛ්‍යාව ලක්ෂයක් පමණ වන අතර, ඒ අතර මෙරට ඉහළ පෙළේ ව්‍යාපාරිකයන් ද සිටින බව වාර්තා වේ. මහජනතාවගෙන් ලබාගත් මුදල්වලින් ඔහු කලක් අතිශය සුඛෝපභෝගී ජීවිතයක් ගත කර තිබේ.
එහෙත්, පොලිසිය මගහරිමින් සැඟවී සිටි කාලය තුළ ඔහුගේ එම සුඛෝපභෝගී ජීවිතය මුළුමනින්ම කඩා වැටී ඇත. මූල්‍ය අපරාධ විමර්ශන කොට්ඨාසයට ලැබුණු තොරතුරක් මත අදාළ ස්ථානයට ගොස් ඔහුව අත්අඩංගුවට ගන්නා අවස්ථාවේදී සැකකරු සතුව තිබී අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ද සොයාගෙන තිබේ. විමර්ශන නිලධාරීන් අනාවරණය කළේ, වංචා කරන ලද මුදලින් උපයාගත් සියලු දේපළ මේ වන විට ඔහුගේ මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය භාවිතය හේතුවෙන්ම විකුණා දමා ඇති බවයි.
මෙම මූල්‍ය අපරාධවලට අමතරව, ඔහු විවාහ දෙකක් සිදුකරගෙන සිටීම හේතුවෙන් බහුවිවාහය යටතේ ද වරෙන්තුවක් නිකුත් වී ඇති බව පොලිසිය තවදුරටත් සඳහන් කරයි. වරක් තරු පන්තියේ හෝටල්වල සිට බිලියනපතියෙකු ලෙස හැසිරුණු පුද්ගලයා, අවසානයේ අයිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍යවලට ගොදුරුව ඔන්ලයින් සාස්තර කියමින් සිටියදී නීතියේ රැහැනට කොටුවීමෙන් මෙම දැවැන්ත පිරමිඩ ජාවාරමේ අවසන් පරිච්ඡේදය මෙලෙස සටහන් වී තිබේ.

#SriLanka has invited #Qatariinvestors to explore opportunities in tourism, industry and services, saying it has recovered from its 2022 economic crisis and is ready to welcome foreign capital.
“This is the time to come to Sri Lanka,” Wasantha Samarasinghe, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security & Cooperative Development told #DohaNews on Monday at the ninth World Investment Forum in #Doha. He urged Qatari and international investors to look at the country’s potential.
Samarasinghe acknowledged Sri Lanka’s past financial challenges and said improving political and economic stability is central to its efforts to attract investment. He called on Qatari investment funds, government institutions and businesses to take part.
He also pointed to Qatar’s Sri Lankan community of nearly 150,000 people.
