A rather curious situation has emerged: a German drone manufacturer, whose specialists and operators actively criticized Ukraine’s Punisher strike drone system in 2022 and 2023, has now introduced its own version of essentially the same concept in 2026.

I would appeal to all to oppose the Draft Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Control and Supervision of Experiment, Breeding and Trading of Laboratory Animals) Rules, 2026.
The draft rules, circulated by the Centre, will allow capture and use of wild animals—including endangered or protected Show More species under vague "scientific justification”. The draft rules also permit experiments on community and free-ranging stray dogs and cats.
The rules also accommodate extreme procedures, like electric shocks, prolonged isolation of animals like dogs and monkeys and induced tumors Animal lovers have opposed this. PETA India has demanded withdrawal of these draft rules.
One thing is clear. Change in animal lab testing rules will encourage cruelty to animals. If ethics panel gets the powers for granting approval to such lab experiments, nobody can stop it.
During lab tests, animals undergo insufferable pain, but they cannot express it like humans. Rabbits, rats, monkeys and dogs are kept in small cages in labs, they are given needle pricks regularly. Since they are animals, no consent can be taken.
The ideal condition is: use of animals in lab trials must be kept to the bare minimum and care must be taken that the animals do not suffer pain. As far as possible, non-animal testing should replace animal testing, but the new draft rules will put the clock back.
In many countries animal testing is difficult and costly, and India may be used as the place at cheap costs. This is dangerous. We should register our objections over these new draft rules.
Since November 5 is the deadline, I would appeal to all to scan the relevant QR code to register your objections.

COP Keating
On October 3, 2009, around 300 Taliban fighters launched a massive assault on Combat Outpost Keating, a remote U.S. military base in Afghanistan.
Surrounded by towering mountains, approximately 53 American soldiers fought desperately to defend the outpost against overwhelming odds.
After hours of intense fighting, the attack was repelled. Eight American soldiers were killed and 22 wounded.
The battle became known as the **Battle of Kamdesh**, one of the fiercest engagements of the Afghanistan War.

Fire Point’s leadership has lied so much that it seems to have lost track of where reality ends and fiction begins, and where it should have kept its mouth shut instead of talking about salo and milftech.
P.S. It’s genuinely frustrating to see the work of hundreds of employees, scientists, and operators being completely undermined by such disastrous communications.

An article high on rhetoric and low on facts. The armed forces of the country are rooted in the ethos and narrative of the country. What’s wrong with quoting in Sanskrit or from Ramayan. Which country you live in Kamerad.
Many bangers in the @ajaishukla piece about the Hindutva-isation of the military brass but this one: For no apparent reason, the IAF appears to be more Sanskrit-ised than the other two services. One wag at a recent seminar commented, “it might be because they serve closer to God”

Please choose to adopt an Indie puppy or dog. ❤️
They are born on the streets, but that doesn't mean they deserve to spend their entire lives there. 💔
Every single day, they struggle with hunger, unbearable heat, freezing winters, road accidents, cruelty and human neglect.
Some lose their mothers. Some watch their siblings die. Some spend their entire lives waiting for a little kindness that never comes. 💔
Yet, despite all the suffering, they still wag their tails, trust humans and have so much unconditional love to offer.
They don't dream of luxurious homes. All they need is a safe corner, a full stomach and someone to call their own.❤️
Please adopt an Indie. Give a forgotten soul the family, dignity and love they have always deserved.
You may be adopting just one dog, but for that dog, you are changing their entire world.❤️🙏

OSINT Update: Damxung Airbase (30.486°N, 91.083°E), ~350 km from Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, has rapidly transformed post-Galwan into a hardened PLA military-logistics hub.
Satellite imagery after the 2021 cutoff reveals a massive construction surge:
• 4 J-20 stealth fighters deployed on the flightline (July 2026).
• 150+ MW of new solar farms built from scratch since 2022 to power radars and base operations.
• Expanding dual-use warehouse belts where the G6 Expressway, Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and Golmud-Lhasa fuel pipeline converge.
A critical Tibetan node to watch.

Why haven’t autonomous drones fully replaced human FPV operators on the battlefield? Luke Allen (co-founder/CTO of @allencontrol discusses a key issue.
Computer vision can recognize a vehicle or person, but battlefield targets aren’t always visually identifiable. A bunker might look like nothing more than a dark spot in the woods. Identifying it as a target requires intelligence and context that an autonomous system may not have.

Israel is reportedly developing a multilayer protective screen designed to protect bridges, buildings and other critical infrastructure against missiles and munitions carrying warheads weighing between 300 kg (661 lb) and 1 metric ton (2,205 lb).
According to reports, the proposed design consists of three layers positioned in front of the structure. The first features a spiked grid said to be intended to trigger or disrupt an incoming warhead. The second uses angled slats reportedly designed to redirect blast gases and fragments sideways, while the third consists of composite ceramic armor plates said to absorb the remaining impact.
The system is described as requiring a gap of at least 1.5 m (4.9 ft) between the first and third layers. Its supporting frame is reportedly designed to stand independently, avoiding additional loads on the protected structure.
The system’s development status and performance under real-world conditions have not been independently verified.

An amazing view of AH-64s from the 12th CAB’s “Viper Battalion” lying in ambush, hovering just a few feet above the ground during a training exercise (Circa 2020). Attack helicopter crews train hard to hug the terrain, using trees, ridgelines and folds in the ground to mask their approach from enemy radar and SHORAD. Then, at the right moment, they pop up, unleash their missiles and disappear back into cover. It may not look like much, but Western attack helicopters are deadly ambush predators, especially when hunting armour.
