Trump’s policies on tariffs, the Iran war, etc. are extremely unpopular, but his defenders say they must be pursued anyway. Then in the next breath they say that Trump can’t advance the pro-life cause because it’s too unpopular. Pro-lifers, stop getting played by these phonies.

I find that a large majority of what churches call disciple-making or discipleship is primarily giving people more information w little practice toward obedience. This too often leads to disciples of content and ideas but not disciples who know and obey Jesus in everyday life.

Christian unity does not mean that we will agree on every policy, candidate, or political strategy.

The main problem I have with AI writing is that once I recognize that a piece is AI written, the AI style becomes so distracting that I can't concentrate on the content, even when the content is really good.

So the Pacers basically traded Keaton Wagler and Isaiah Jackson for Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown.
TGC recently shared its policy for writers and the use of AI. Christianity Today did the same. In this article, I reflect on a new institutional/individual divide and consider how, just like blogs democratized influence, AI might democratize competence. challies.com/articles/tgc-ai…

One of the worst things about Trump is that he’s ushering in more corporate welfare, cronyism, and socialism while parading it under the banner of capitalism, so we end up with all the failings of those ideologies but with a generation of young people blaming the market economy.

Pet peeve: Online folks who handwring that "we've lost the Republic" or "It's the end of democracy" every time a court case or policy fight or election is lost. Give me a break. This country endured a civil war. Our grandparents fought the Nazis and Communists and won. Let's have more faith in the country.
Thankfully, this is an online phenomenon among people who cash in on cynicism for clicks. Rank-and-file normal people are busy living their lives and don't think the sky is falling.

As a young man, I was warned about the progressive tendency toward “revisionist history.” It was a legitimate warning.
And now we’ve got the sitting Republican VP re-writing the Watergate scandal as a “deep state conspiracy” narrative.
This is Alice in Wonderland stuff.

Vances comment is a tragic indictment of his administration. Amazing to me that’s not obvious to him.

The most masculine men in the world are not the guys preening about it online. They are the ordinary dads who took their families to church after working all week to provide. They are the dads who get up early to read their Bibles and point their kids, however imperfectly, toward Christ.

I’ve never pastored a church. Couldn’t pay me a jillion dollars to. Never been ordained. Have no desire to. The only paid staff position I’ve ever held in a church was as an aerobics teacher in our church gym. But how in heaven’s name a woman discussing a sermon on a podcast could be objectionable to some is beyond me and what I believe to be beyond scripture. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, good. Stay sane. If you do, I’ve lived a long time and this has been my observation:
Extremism, whether in conservatism or liberalism, whether in politics or religion, is never satisfied. It will always inch a little bit further. It’s a constant test of the purists.

Housing Act of 1949 launched “urban renewal,” destroying Black business districts, homes, churches, etc. Displaced residents were pushed into housing projects that later became violent & drug-infested, undermining marriage & stability. Then blacks were caricatured for it.

The "dad brain" is real. Neuroscience shows that holding his child rewires a man's brain: testosterone plummets and pathways shift. Early marriage and immediate fatherhood improve men more than career-building, any Master’s degree, or travel ever could. The data is very clear.

This is certainly a thing. This is why defining racism in terms of "power" ignores the human condition: all humans are morally flawed therefore, blacks, Hispanics, and Asians can most certainly be racist.
"Racial prejudice...is not unique to white people. Many Hispanics and Asians, for example, harbor racist attitudes about black people, and blacks and Hispanics often hold negative views of Jews....nonwhites by and large dislike political correctness." thedispatch.com/article/nonw…
