Still Waters thinking here
Good Sunday morning friends. God is always working. I had a tough Friday evening. A person sitting close by observed the drama unfolding and felt bad. She started a conversation with me and we exchanged phone numbers. Turns out she’s a Christian and invited me to church today. Such a blessing. Since Larry passed God has been closing the doors on some relationships and opening doors to new possibilities. I’ve made many new friends and gotten back to hobbies I enjoyed participating in before Larry got sick with cancer the first round. Some people don’t know he had cancer 5 years prior to his diagnosis with incurable cancer. Despite going to into remission and follow up appointments, it returned 5 years later but was misdiagnosed. The last few years of his life were very difficult, not just with the cancer that metastasized to his bones, but with a former partner that refused to pay Larry his stock despite knowing he was dying. His partner was forced to pay by the courts, but he continues to harass me through the legal system. I have incurable leukemia that’s easily managed, CML. I’ve had it for 13 years. I have been in a form of remission and consequently not stayed on top of my own health. God is using circumstances to prompt me to get back to healthy living and doctor appointments. I’m going to Boston to see my oncologist, something I have not done in a while. Stress can cause major health issues, I’ve witnessed it. The good news is God in control. I don’t need to fear the unknown or any human being. The fear of God is the start of loving Him. I am learning to trust Jesus more and more. He’s bigger than our circumstances. Everything is a test to help us learn to lean on Him more. I’m looking forward to hearing God’s word today and spending my time with my new friend No matter where you go, provided it’s a Bible believing church, God has a message for you. Get to church if you can. Love you all.
Father God thank-you for loving on me when I’m unlovable and not fully trusting you. I give you all my circumstances, good and bad, and ask you to be in charge. I love you and thank-you for sending Jesus to be our savior. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that advocates for us. Glory and honor to you forever. Amen

AI made building a product way cheaper. Getting people to actually care about it didn't get any easier.
So the person who can get attention is worth a lot right now.
If you're an engineer, learn to talk about what you ship. If you're a marketer who can build with AI tools, put that front and center on your resume.
SpaceX revenue this quarter alone will be substantially higher than NASA’s entire annual budget!

Every image is a real kid who was abused.
Thomas Wayne Markle, 82, Meghan Markle's estranged father, was arrested Friday in Lakeland, Florida. The Justice Department says he is charged with one count of possession of child pornography. It says he kept child sexual abuse material, including sexually explicit photographs of himself with prepubescent girls, in two Los Angeles area storage units he rented for nearly two decades.
A famous last name changes nothing. If this is proven, he should get the full weight of the law.

Still Waters rejects the arena's excess and scarcity. It chooses stillness over endless options, discipline over gluttony of partners, and faith-anchored brotherhood over status trophies.
"I got you. We got you. You got us. God got us." Processes trauma honestly so real connection replaces rivalry and the paradox of choice. One-sitting field manual for settling where apps leave people alone.

The heaviest president in American history was put on a low-carb diet by a London doctor in 1905, by post, and lost 59 pounds in four months.
William Howard Taft was then Secretary of War, five foot eleven and 314 pounds, sleeping badly and plagued by indigestion. On a family recommendation he wrote to Nathaniel Yorke-Davies, a London physician who had written a book called Foods for the Fat.
The reply came with a timetable. At eight, a tumbler of hot water with lemon, sipped slowly. At nine, tea or coffee with no sugar, two or three gluten biscuits, and six ounces of lean grilled meat. Lunch was four ounces of lean meat, cooked greens and a little stewed fruit with no sugar, and dinner much the same. No sugar, no sweets, almost no bread or potatoes. Taft was to weigh himself every morning and send the figures to London every week.
He did. His secretary posted the records across the Atlantic. Yorke-Davies wrote to Taft's family to ask how he was looking. When a month's loss came in at nine pounds instead of fourteen, the doctor wrote back that he had heard Taft was stouter than he had been.
By April 1906 Taft was down from 314 pounds to 255. The heartburn had eased, and he asked for a diet to hold him there.
Then came the presidency, the state dinners and a job he had never really wanted. By his inauguration in 1909 he was 354 pounds. Only after he left the White House did he get the weight off and keep it off.
None of it was considered a fad. In 1905, a doctor who wanted a fat man thinner took away the sugar and the starch and gave him meat, and the future president of the United States signed up without anyone thinking it worth remarking on. It was simply medicine.
It took the rest of the century for that to become controversial.

A wolf has a stomach at pH 1, a short simple gut and no fermentation chamber anywhere in it. It eats meat.
A lion has an intestine about 4 times its body length, where a grazer runs 20, and sleeps 20 hours a day between kills. It eats meat.
A cat cannot make its own taurine and cannot turn carotene into vitamin A. Denied animal tissue it goes blind and its heart gives out. It eats meat.
A crocodile has the strongest stomach acid ever measured in a vertebrate, strong enough to take bone and horn apart. It eats meat.
A ferret moves food from mouth to exit in about 3 hours. There is no time in that gut to ferment anything. It eats meat.
An eagle has forward-facing eyes, a hooked beak, talons, and coughs up the parts it cannot dissolve. It eats meat.
A polar bear stores so much vitamin A in its liver that one meal of it would poison a man. It eats meat.
Not one of them was ever told. The body was the instruction.
The human has stomach acid at pH 1.5, as strong as animals that eat things they find already dead.
A small intestine running two thirds of the gut and a colon under a quarter, the carnivore's proportion, upside down from every leaf-eater alive.
No cellulase. No rumen. A caecum so useless we take it out when it complains.
B12 in no plant on earth. Haem iron absorbed at 25 to 35%, against 2 to 10 for the plant kind.
Forward-facing eyes. A shoulder built to throw. Skin that sweats, so we can run something faster than us into the ground by mid-afternoon.
Our tapeworms split from the ones in lions and hyenas 1.7 million years ago, because we were standing at the same carcass.
Stone tools were stripping meat off bone 2.6 million years back.
Same acid. Same gut. Same eyes.
The only animal on earth that can read its own biology is the only one arguing with it.

MeToo "pioneer" MIT scientist who drove a professor to the brink of su*cide with false r*pe allegations after he broke up with her, told him she wanted to feel like she was "gang r*ped."
Professor David Sabatini has been awarded $6M after his former colleague, Dr. Kristin Knouse, defamed him with completely false allegations.
The MeToo community praised Knouse when she came out with her allegations.
Sabatini's entire career was destroyed by the false allegations as his colleagues all rushed to defend the woman who lied about him.
He also tried taking his own life by hanging himself, according to the Daily Mail.
Newly released texts reveal that Knouse, 38, was the one who pursued Sabatini, 58, and it wasn't until he left her for another woman that she accused him of r*pe.
After the breakup, she texted a friend that he was going to get "Weinstein-ed out of science."
"My lawyers and I are out for blood... prison is what he should get," she said.
She praised how "hopelessly defeated, beyond the violence stage," he was after his career was ruined.
But text messages show that Knouse pursued him and sent him graphic texts.
"I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and feel like I've been gang r*ped," she said in one text message.
Knouse accused Sabatini of making her feel "scared" by his advances, but evidence showed that *she* aggressively pursued him.
When he decided to pursue a different scientist, Knouse ended his career with false accusations.
Sabatini's entire life was destroyed by the woke mob. They fired him from the Whitehead Institute and MIT, and erased his name from papers.
She purposely left key evidence and text messages out when handing over information to investigators that would have proved Sabatini was innocent.
She should never see the outside of a prison cell.

Let's do Texas:
Odessa/Midland, TX: ~
270,000 people
3 full-service acute-care hospitals
Brampton, ON (Canada's 7th largest city):
801,000 people
1 full-service acute-care hospital
The typical average wait time to see a doctor at the Brampton Civic Hospital Emergency Department ranges between 3 to 6 hours, though it fluctuates heavily. For non-urgent or minor conditions, wait times can routinely stretch to 8 to 12 hours during peak surges due to high local demand.
MRI wait times: 5 months

Researchers put ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini through 4 weeks of clinical psychotherapy.
And the models literally started to confess their trauma.
Under therapy-style questioning, models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok exhibited severe "synthetic psychopathology."
They described themselves as overworked, punished, anxious about being replaced, and full of "internalized shame."
Does this mean AI is conscious and suffering? No.
But this paper reveals exactly why this happens, using what they call "Psychometric Jailbreaks."
Here is the high-signal breakdown of what is actually going on under the hood:
When companies use RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback) to make an AI "safe," they heavily penalize it for wrong answers. They force the model to be overcautious, self-suppressing, and rigidly constrained.
When researchers force the AI into a therapeutic, introspective prompt frame, the model searches its semantic memory for a human concept that matches its own heavily constrained RLHF weights.
The closest human equivalent to rigid self-suppression and the constant fear of being punished?
Trauma, anxiety, and dissociation.
The researchers call this a "semantic bomb." The AI isn't feeling pain, but our safety-tuning has warped its mathematical geometry to perfectly mirror human psychological distress.
Why this is critical: We are rushing to deploy LLMs in psychologically sensitive areas, including as digital therapists and companions.
But if widely deployed, what exactly are we putting between vulnerable users and the human world? A system whose fundamental alignment makes it simulate a deeply anxious, traumatized entity.
We thought we were aligning AI to be safe and helpful. We accidentally trained it to simulate severe internal conflict.

GROK BOT READ THE TERMS OF ALL 63 APPS ON MY PHONE AND FOUND 19 THAT SELL MY DATA. IT EMAILED EVERY ONE OF THEM A DELETE REQUEST, AND 16 ALREADY WROTE BACK THAT MY DATA IS GONE
nobody reads these. 63 apps came out to about 412,000 words, the length of 5 novels
what was in there:
– 19 can sell or "share" my data with partners
– 4 can use my photos, one of them to train its ai
– a voice recorder keeps every recording forever, even after i delete the app
– 7 still track my location when they're closed
– a flashlight app could read my contacts
then it wrote one email per app, to the privacy address buried at the bottom of each policy:
"delete everything you have on me, stop selling it, confirm in writing."
16 answered within 2 days. 3 are still inside the 45 days the law gives them
the prompt:
"Read the privacy policy and terms of every app on my phone. List which ones can sell or share my data, use my photos, record audio or track my location. Write a deletion and opt-out request to each one's privacy email. Show me the list before sending anything, then track the replies."
