A narrow strip of unused land beside one of London's busiest roads has been transformed into 97 homes.
Designed by Peter Barber Architects, Edgewood Mews in North London features two rows of distinctive brick buildings arranged around a car-free pedestrian street.
The buildings facing the North Circular Road help shield the residential area from traffic noise, creating a quieter space between the two rows.
Half of the homes are designated as affordable housing, and the development also includes a cafรฉ, a corner shop, and underground parking.

I was cleaning up DNS and found a record called:
OLD-PAYROLL-PROD
It pointed to a server named:
DO-NOT-DELETE
No owner.
No documentation.
No tickets mentioning it since 2019.
I asked three senior engineers what it did.
Nobody knew.
So naturally I deleted it.
Four minutes later every hourly employee disappeared from the timeclock system.
I restored the record.
Everyone came back.
We still don't know what the server does.
We don't know where it physically lives.
We don't know who pays for it.
We don't know why DNS controls payroll.
We only know that if it disappears, 600 people stop getting paid.
I renamed the record:
DO-NOT-DELETE-SERIOUSLY
Audit asked me to document the dependency.
I listed the system owner as:
โAncient forces beyond our understanding.โ

Had an "interview" for a blockchain project last week.
Camera was on, we're chatting, and the guy tells me to clone a GitHub repo and run it locally before we go further into the technical round.
I said sure, but first can you do me a favor
hold up 3 fingers in front of your face for me real quick.
He froze.
Didn't move.
Just sat there for a few seconds before the call cut off and he blocked me.
That's when I knew. A real interviewer doesn't glitch out over a random ask like that. A deepfake/AI overlay does.
These "run this repo" scams are getting scary common in crypto and dev hiring right now.
The setup is always the same:
- flattering DM
- real-sounding project
- rushed timeline
- a "quick step" before the call
that's really just remote access or a credential stealer in disguise.
If someone wants you to run code or install something before you've even had a real conversation, that's the whole scam.
Trust the instinct. Stay safe out there.

Apparently 487 Mbps has bad energy.
So I created a new network:
EXECUTIVE_PRIORITY_5G
Same access points.
Same internet connection.
Same VLAN.
I just gave it a more expensive name.
Connected the CEO.
He opened a website and immediately said:
โOh wow, this is way faster.โ
By lunch, five VPs had asked for access.
I told them executive bandwidth is limited and I can only approve users with a genuine business requirement.
They are now competing for access to Wi-Fi they already had.
Performance is unchanged.
Satisfaction is through the roof.

My biggest grudge at the moment, mobile apps which sign you out periodically or when an update happens.
Some supermarkets only offer discounted prices via app opt in.
This affects the elderly or those who aren't tech literate who rely on friends and family to help them out.
