Dude we have a friggin LASER TRAIN
mta.info/press-release/metro…
Today's weird encounter. Walked out of a local store, approaching my car, when I guy on the sidewalk said "Bro, I need your help." Said NOPE and drove away. I've run into this before; "I need money for the bus/train."
The guards outside Buckingham Palace paid tribute to Dolly Parton with a rendition of her hit “9 to 5” following the country music legend’s death at age 80.
The U.K.’s Ministry of Defence shared video of the performance, calling it “a special tribute to the Queen of Country” from her friends, fans and admirers across the pond.
One final migration note on my iPad Air (5th Generation) if you want Hotspot to work, you may need to go to Settings > Cellular Data > Carrier and change APN Settings to your provider, in my case using "mint" did the job and it now shows up as a source from my Mac.
Be sure to check out the (somewhat? ) new Verizon Simplicity plan. I had one of their older plans but it had several features I didn't really need, and was a bit pricey ($80 or so) At the time I switched because I wanted 5GUW. Once I switched they reported a $35 or so savings.
And in today’s tech adventures, converted my Mint physical SIM on my iPad Air (5th generation) to an eSIM. Took a bit longer than I would have liked, but the agent was very nice and I’m now totally eSIM on all my devices.
While I have a mix of Apple AirTag and Chipolo, I decided to upgrade my setup with a special Mercedes-Benz Chipolo tracker. Has some features that are missing from the older Chipolo ONE Spot trackers.

In trade-in fiasco news, brought iPad Air 4th generation to an Apple Store. Possible PROTIP, indicate your expectation. In this case, it was to get the original advertised trade-in value, which, after they checked it out, offered me the original value on an Apple gift card.
Upgrade antics, bought refurb iPad Air 5th Gen to replace iPad Air 4th Gen. Initial offer was $165, once they received it, claimed Wi-Fi wasn't working and only offered $30. Refused the offer so they shipped it back of course Wi-Fi is working fine. Suggested I go to Apple Store
In other upgrade news, when I upgraded from an iPhone 12 mini to an iPhone 17e, Verizon charged an "upgrade fee" of $30 or so dollars" I don't think I should have to pay a fee to transfer an eSIM to a new device. Fortunately, their automated agent offered to waive the fee.
