Last night I was just in shock over losing John Anderson, now I feel like I'm gonna bust out crying. This man was a giant in many ways, and someone I loved and admired deeply. He was fierce, but kind, rough, yet refined...He was living, breathing poetry. A truly great man.
I've just learned that my favorite country artist of all time, and a man I called "Uncle John" for the past 20 years has passed away. The great and unmatched John Anderson...He loved Jesus, and his family and his country. He was a massive influence on me in more ways that I can count. I love you, Uncle John.
. @RonDeSantis should consider making "Seminole Wind" the official state song of Florida. John Anderson captured the spirit of this state in his song, and was a native born Floridian. Gov DeSantis, would you consider making that happen? A bunch of us would fly down if you would.
John Anderson and I wrote many songs over the years, but "Shutting Detroit Down" was one of the best lyrics we ever wrote together. Kris Kristofferson and Mickey Rourke starred in the video...I high five'd John A several times over this one:)

Just spoke with Mr Fenn. He says the cutting crews will be at his gate first thing tomorrow morning.
I did everything I could to defend Mr Fenn, and he took this all the way to the Supreme Court of Alabama, but in the end? Alabama Power crushed him. My deepest apologies to Mr Fenn for failing to secure his land. I’m sorry, Sir. His message below:

All 5 NY Department of Public Service Siting Board (SB) members had alternates take their place for today’s hearing on Alle-Catt Wind. Not one actual sitting SB member was present.
It was evident immediately that the hearing was nothing more than political theater. It was decided before today’s hearing that the SB would deny Cattaraugus County and the Coalition of Concerned Citizens a re-hearing on the nighttime noise issue with the Alle-Catt Wind turbines.
When each alternate was given a chance to weigh in on the record, all five were prepped and at the ready to say, “no questions and no comment.”
Each one did as they had been diligently instructed.
All five avoided eye contact with me at the back of the room. You could feel the shame wafting off some of them.
These bureaucrats in Albany, NY are making decisions about rural towns and counties they’ll never step foot in. And your tax dollars are going to salaries for people who can’t show up to their own SB hearings.
Something needs to change.
