Last week we piloted an early alpha of LongX, a new protocol that enables seamless integration with @Lighter_xyz to turn perp exposure into a composable leveraged spot asset you can hold as an ERC20. This week we plan to expand support for NVDA related leveraged assets while accruing value back to $AI. Deep dive into our litepaper below ↓↓↓ The system runs on four major components: 1. A contract on Robinhood Chain where users can mint and redeem leveraged spot assets 2. A Lighter account that submits orders to increase, decrease, and rebalance the underlying leveraged position 3. A ZK verification system that makes the resulting position state independently verifiable. Instead of relying on an external price oracle or a trusted operator to report account state, minting and redemption can settle against cryptographically verified Lighter state 4. DEX liquidity that creates an instant secondary market around the issued asset while remaining in sync with the underlying mint and redeem value Why Lighter? The key unlock is @Lighter_xyz itself. Lighter’s Robinhood deployment is an application specific ZK rollup settled directly on Robinhood Chain. Its architecture combines low latency execution with cryptographically verifiable state transitions, giving LONG access to a purpose built derivatives engine without having to recreate an entire perp exchange from scratch. LONG can use Lighter as the underlying execution and liquidity layer, while LongX transforms those positions into portable ERC20 assets that can move across the rest of the chain. Lighter also brings an existing network of liquidity providers and a highly optimized matching engine that can scale alongside LONG activity, rather than requiring us to fragment liquidity across an in house perp venue. How the rebalancing works? Every LongX asset has a predefined underlying asset and leverage target. When users deposit USDG into the system, the protocol increases the underlying position while its rebalancing mechanism maintains the target leverage. For example, depositing 100 USDG into an NVDA 3x asset increases the corresponding NVDA perp exposure while maintaining approximately 3x leverage. The benefits for users: 1. Users get leveraged exposure to the underlying asset through a transferable ERC20 rather than having to actively manage a perp position 2. That position becomes composable. Users can LP it on DEXs, trade it across LONG markets, integrate it into other protocols, and eventually use it as a building block for entirely new markets 3. DEX liquidity is not the only exit. Users can mint and redeem directly against their pro rata share of the underlying position value through the issuing contract 4. To make the system fully composable with the markets LONG is building, we have also designed a pool flow that enables real time secondary trading without waiting for bridge settlement on every trade. This is where LongX starts becoming much more than a leveraged token. It turns Lighter positions into programmable spot primitives.
