Best of luck to all at #readingfc for the new season. Had a fair few decent games and results up at Birmingham in recent (ish!) years so hopefully more of the same today🤞 Go well, enjoy the ride and let’s see what 24/25 serves up!
Some personal news to share 🗞️
Delighted to have joined the @NewForestNPA as part of the comms team 🌳
Plenty to get stuck in to and learn about in this beautiful area of the country!
End of a short era for me today as I said goodbye to working at Hillingdon Hospital 🏥
Thanks to everyone there who made my experience a memorable one 🙏
@HillingdonNHSFT
Looks like it was quite some afternoon (and night) yesterday for #readingfc. What a brilliant way to finish the season. Don’t think in my years covering the club there was a) such a likeable and relatable squad and b) such a feel good feeling at the end of a campaign. Typical 😂 – at New Milton, England
And I know it’s a bit cliche but really hope this is just the start of some special times ahead. Get the ownership deal over the line, keep the core players from the back end of this season and keep fans on side, then you’re halfway there already to having a decent 24/25 season🤞 – at New Milton, England
Yessss 😍 Huge, huge congratulations to everyone involved 👏 – at New Milton, England
WE ARE STAYING UP 💙
A massive achievement from all involved.
Onwards and upwards from here 🔵⚪️ #readingfc
Trying out my new local side this evening - under the lights at @FootballBashley
Definitely “proper football” here 😂 – at Tiptoe, England
Delighted to see the latest Reading FC news 😍 Huge step forward for fans who have endured so much. Let’s hope the end of this sorry saga is now in sight 🤞 – at New Milton, England
Some quality daddy daughter time today as I took Emma to her first (of many?) football match this afternoon 👨👧
Lasted about an hour or so when the snacks ran out so I think that’s pretty good going 😅 – at Bournemouth, England

Utterly devastating and heartbreaking what I’ve read about #readingfc today 💔 Absolutely scandalous it has been allowed to happen. Feel so much for fans, staff and players being put through this. Just praying someone out there can somehow turn this perilous situation around 🙏

After 17 years, said an emotional goodbye to my time in Reading last week 👋
A place which served me so well through many ups and downs, too many to name here. Truly thankful to everyone who played a part in it 🙏
Now time for a fresh start back down south in New Milton 🌊

To those that don’t know our story…
Dai Yongge took over Reading days before the club’s Championship play-off final in 2017.
Since then:
• Relegation to the third tier for the first time in 22 years
• A total of 16 points deducted
• A 5 year transfer embargo
• Multiple missed HMRC payments
• Extreme cost cutting including redundancies, no hotels before away games and microwaved pre-match meals
• CEO selling our most valuable assets behind the back of our manager and DoF
• Not a single interview with the public
With Reading now in the League One relegation zone, protest action is a cry for help to save our club from extinction.
Dai Yongge Out. #readingfc
Congratulations @phil_creighton and the team 👏
New on HTFP today: Campaigning @RdgToday splash published following teacher's suicide voted best front page of 2023 by @journalism_news readers holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2024/…
So 2023 was certainly an eventful one - starting in Sydney, seeing Reading relegated 🥲, losing my job, finally getting a new one and then going from a family of three to four 👶 Chuck in an impending house move too and it’s been quite a 12 months 😅
