The first chapter of my new book, Diminished Faculties: A Political Phenomenology of Impairment, is now live and free on the @DukePress website. Thanks also to members of @DUPWorkersUnion for all their work on my books! dukeupress.edu/Assets/PubMat…
OMG the system is putting posts from famous right wing podcasters in my "notifications." I think I'm going to go back to not hanging out on here. Find me on Mastodon or Bluesky.

I’m proud to support @BandcampUnited and I’m calling on @Bandcamp and
@EpicGames to discontinue their union-busting and let negotiations proceed without

Okay, I am going to do this blogging thing again. superbon.net/2023/02/03/3-fe… In related news, does anyone have suggestions for a decent newsletter plugin for WordPress that won't just make my site vulnerable to brute force attacks?

#disabilitystudies friends: I am looking for I am looking for smart, recent writing on the politics of captioning. Something like a Deaf analogue or complement to Georgina Kleege's awesome writing on audiodescription.
I've been teaching Greg Downey's chapter which I love but it's history and I need something that's about the present.
#disabilitystudies friends: I am also looking for great short videos or films about disability, technology, access, and disability justice. I taught Unrest in the past. No narrative fiction (esp no Hollywood), though art is welcome.
