Is this the AI era's version of "Twitter for cats?"
F your AI b2b SaaS. We just launched Palantir for booking meetings. The last 14 days, companies like @MonacoGTM , @Nowadaysai, @Rippling , @salesforce , @marketercom, @posthog , and @retellai spent $100k+ with us on literal cakes. From today, Daymaker finds your prospects, reads their entire digital footprint, buys the one gift that makes their day, and gets you the meeting. Comment your name and I'll reply with everything Daymaker finds on you and the gift it would send you. If you dare. 🎁

I met @MilksandMatcha 3 years ago and this is exactly in her power alley. Great to see folks finding ikigai

The new Gmail app has more whitespace, takes longer to load, and is less information dense. This is horrible. AI could have easily done better

Lol insane! Max serendipity here and congrats @mmurph. It's a great company and a great investment
funny back story here.... I sat next to Madison on a flight (didn't know her) and was trying not to listen in, but hearing her rave about Factory to a friend and why she was going to leave her great job as a VC to join the co was all i needed to hear. Had to meet after that! 🙏😀

I called it wrong! @a16z and Martin, @AnjneyMidha, and the whole team has absolutely crushed it this cycle and the big inception rounds were the right call. @eriktorenberg lucky for me we didn't take a bet 🙂

I'm always amazed that every time I head to New York, I can last second fill a day with back to back high density meetings.

Interesting commentary from AMZN on who they actually consider a threat
Amazon cuts off Muse. While I am bullish Meta and Muse, I think many people are overlooking the digital knife fight that’s about to occur Nobody wants to get commoditized or layered here. Let the games begin

Canadian PM Mark Carney: There are only four countries at the forefront of AI: France, Canada, China and the United States. We must join forces to ensure an appropriate framework so that AI is safe and effective.

I feel like an old unc having lived this. @sama was early to SoMoLo (Social Mobile Local) and every major titan would make a move to copy and try to replicate Loopt. Ultimately the entire market was wrong. A breakout in local never really happened in the way folks thought.
This is Sam Altman at 25 years old, pitching Loopt to a person in a diner It’s strange to watch now because he runs one of the most influential companies in the world The app was a location-sharing app but nobody thinks about it when they think of Sam It got me wondering how many founders are probably in their Loopt era rn? The company they’re working on may not be the one they become known for It might just be the company that teaches them how to sell, hire, raise money, and keep going long enough to find "it" But at the time, it looks like a kid trying to explain a weird location app to a stranger over lunch

I'd like to report a murder.
Opening access for developers to build Muse connectors. You bring the API -- Muse brings the agent, the browser, and the context of what the person actually wants. People reach your service just by asking for it, and their agent takes it from there. New connectors are live today. Come build with us. muse.ai/platform

YC was very clearly the good guys back in 2014 and earned their place in Silicon Valley Edit: ok everyone what do you expect me to say. "Was and still is?" I'm not sure English is that perfect that there's a single word to convey past and present while talking about 2014
Babe wakeup, new YC email just dropped. git clone https:///github.com/breck7/breck.lol Paul Graham was, in his own words, "horrified". Sam Altman gets the idea of doing a deal with Microsoft, one of many of my ideas he would later copy. What else is out there we don't yet know? Investigate/YCombinator

I'm not smart enough to make predictions about Instinct. But if they succeed, it'll be pretty funny to see all haters be wrong. If they fail, it'll also be pretty funny to see all these kingmaking VCs eat humble pie. Either way, I commend you @noahrshinn for LOLmaxxing

I don't think folks realize that we've had "auditors" for these AI systems for decades. Google, Amazon and Meta have Safety and Privacy teams on their Ranking groups as well as special interest groups (understanding blowback from e.g. Political factions) that would discuss and govern things like whether the LGBT community would get mad at using gender as a ranking signal in ads (real situation). Or whether the ads showed up next to political or pornographic content too many times for the advertiser to feel comfortable. All these systems are probabilistic so every decision was a tug between the product team optimizing their metric and the safety teams optimizing theirs. And usually one comes at the expense of the other. I'm not particularly sure that's going to be the move forward answer. The experiment has been run before.

It’s sad watching boomer startup legends drift out of the game and spend 300+ weeks outside the bay. When they drop content, 90% of their advice is still brilliant. But then you see the other 10% that's actively harmful bc it only applies to an ecosystem from 20 years ago.
