Using this new render cli command in @kicad_pcb, I threw together a bash script that renders multiple frames and combines them into an MP4 for a full 360 😄

Love complaining and/or voicing your opinion? Great!
The @kicad_pcb team has a survey running to get more info about how people use KiCad and other design tools, and what they like and dislike about them. The survey will run until May.

Okay! 👏
I want to spend the new few months focusing on building an interactive, open source, browser-based KiCAD file viewer.
I'm looking for sponsorship to make that happen, and I'd love if you'd consider it:

Quick write up on how to set up the new #kicad "database libraries" feature in 6.99 on a Mac with Apple Silicon
cdwilson.dev/articles/kicad-…
Did you know that @kicad_pcb nightly supports database libraries? I'm looking for more testers for this feature, especially those who have used this kind of feature in other software. Want to find the bugs before 7.0 is released!

We are happy to announce the new stable V1.8.0 release of Black Magic Debug! Let us know if you run into any issues. :) github.com/blackmagic-debug/…
Hey @netflix, this looks like a great show... BUT
Just dudes? Come on.
You're reinforcing the message I've had programmed into me since I was a kid that girls don't make things. And that's not fair
Representation matters
(also, at least credit @KidsInventStuff for the format)
Today, @netflix announced “Making Fun” a new show starring a bunch of our friends from the maker community including @JimmyDiResta, @GrazMakes, @JackmanWorks, and more. We have to say it reminds us of @KidsInventStuff buff.ly/3LelJjt

We just released the first testing version of our official @kicad_pcb plugin at github.com/AislerHQ/PushForK… If you feel risky today, give it a try 🙌
Thanks to @GregDavill for his great build script
So KiCad version 6.0.0 should now be readily available for most of you out there now. Release notes:

SAFETY & SCIENCE: 3DP RESIN
There's been a lot of talk about the safety of aerosolizing (and generally using 3D printing resins) today, but nobody has talked about *WHY* certain things are hazardous. Let's talk about proper PPE and what's going on at the molecular level!
The KiCad 2021 year end funding drive has begun.

I've been working on KiCad V6 for over 4 years (yes, since before V5 came out). Today we tagged RC1, and the 6.0 release is on track for next month. It's a great feeling :)
These days you can toggle through 4 different corner styles with Ctrl+/ in @kicad_pcb 5.99. Routing with arcs is now possible with either 45-degree or 90-degree corners!
The new Plugin and Content Manager is now enabled by default in @kicad_pcb nightly builds. Makes it really easy to manage Plugins, Libraries, and Color Themes by packaging them in repositories. Can't wait to see what the community will do with this!
You can now convert shapes containing arcs to polygons/zones in @kicad_pcb. Should be handy for designing complex silkscreen, mask, and copper shapes in another tool and then importing. This feature was enabled thanks to work from @Qbort and @SethHillbrand.
Fixed a #kicad router issue that has been around for a long time. No more extra track segments left over!
