.@danpfeiffer: JD Vance can pretend like Trump's corruption doesn’t exist, but voters see it, and they’re going to make Republicans pay for it this fall.

El-Sayed: "People like JD Vance think America is too small for some of us. I think America is big enough. I think America has been big enough to include people like JD Vance, people like me, people whose families came here, people who were here before anybody else showed up, or people whose ancestors were brought here despite themselves. I think America is big enough for all of us. His view of America is small. It's small like him. It's small-minded."

Vance retakes the lead in the highly competitive contest for most nauseating Trump administration official. Hegseth, Rubio, and Blanche look on jealously as Vance shows them how truly repulsive smarmy demagoguery is done.

I know it hurts to hear, but the truth is that your father is a bumbling idiot who is helping Putin slaughter civilians in Ukraine. If I need a Miami cocaine hookup, I’ll call you! But until then, you should shut the fuck up and enjoy your corrupt crypto grift while it lasts.

You saying “dude, this was like 2 years ago” when @BretBaier asked you if you remembered changing the wording of the Benghazi terror attacks from attacks to demonstrations in the President’s talking points is one of the most humiliating things I’ve ever seen in politics.

What an absolute scumbag
Vance’s response to the ad featuring Amy Acton’s estranged mother: “Politics is a tough business, and my message to my fellow elected Republicans is: if you actually believe in the things you say you believe in, stop whining about an advertisement and go win the race in 13 days."

My carefully considered legal advice to broadcasters on this would be to tell Brendan Carr to go fuck himself
During this election season, there has been a significant surge in entirely Fake Polls and Suppression Polls designed to do nothing more than interfere with the regular functioning of the electoral process and alter the normal patterns of voter turnout and enthusiasm. Many journalists and broadcasters have been amplifying or airing these Polls without regard to basic journalistic ethics and without informing the public that those Polls lack a scientific, accurate, or even real basis. The FCC takes these issues seriously. Broadcasters are prohibited by the terms of their federal licenses from engaging in News Distortion or promoting Broadcast Hoaxes. It is important that broadcasters comply with their public interest obligations. After all, the country benefits greatly when Americans can trust and rely on the media to report the news fairly and accurately. Broadcasters are advised to avoid engaging in News Distortions or running Broadcast Hoaxes by airing Polls that would violate their regulatory obligations. If broadcasters believe they should provide their viewers with additional context and information about Polls they have covered, they can now take those actions consistent with FCC regulations.

As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment" - Donations dried up - Volunteers were devastated and pleading for guidance on what to do - Reporters hounded me with calls to drop out Sure, a point was proven. Polling is broken. But tens of thousands of people poured their hearts, time, energy, hard-earned money into something they believed in - for a year-and-a-half, and it was treated like a game. Our volunteers gave their all. And then some. I felt like I had let so many of them down. To be extremely clear, Michigan Democrats are locked in to beat Mike Rogers. We WILL send @AbdulElSayed to the US Senate. But between crap like this, endless fundraising texts that drive supporters away with spammy fake deadlines and trash "match" claims, scam PACs run rampant for firms to grift without actually supporting candidates, undisclosed content creators pushing content out either misrepresenting themselves as residents of states they don't live in or hiding whether they were paid and by who so they could make a buck, and the tidal wave of dark money ads -- I hope Democrats are ready to blow up the system with campaign finance and transparency reforms. Trust is already at an all-time low. We don't get out of this mess without rebuilding trust. And media - who loves to ride the drama of a pollercoaster - needs to take a hard look at what's legitimate and what's not. If this teaches us anything - DON'T GET COMPLACENT AND DON'T TRUST THE POLLS. LOCK IN. SIGN UP FOR A CANVASSING SHIFT. LEAVE NOTHING TO CHANCE OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS.

tough update for this lady who thinks i'm not from North Carolina: i just voted early in North Carolina
The governor shouldn't own control of the NC State Election Board, Elijah. You're not from North Carolina, so let me explain the importance of this decision to you, like the Berkeley, Californian you are. NC isn’t California-and we don't want to be. CA’s independently elected Secretary of State runs elections. The governor doesn’t appoint the referee. NC never worked that way. For more than a century the governor appointed the State Board of Elections and the 100 county boards. NC also elects a Council of State (governor, auditor, treasurer, etc.). The North Carolina legislature can assign statutory duties among those officers. The elections board is a statute, not a constitutional office. In 2024 the General Assembly moved those appointments from the governor to the state auditor. Today the Court of Appeals said that is legal because the power stayed inside the executive branch. Since the change took effect in 2025: • New Republican majorities on the state board and all 100 county boards • New Republican executive director and senior staff • Voter-roll cleanup for missing ID numbers • Statewide records check against the federal SAVE database • Tighter mail-ballot deadline (must arrive by 7:30 p.m. Election Day) • Revised early-voting hours and sites in many counties. The NC State Legislature (a Republican majority) used its ordinary power to reorganize an agency. The NC Court of Appeals (Republican majority) affirmed the NC Legislature's power to do so. That's how government in North Carolina works. Don't California North Carolina.

Rob Bresnahan campaigned on a promise to ban congressional stock trading. Then day one in Washington, he starts trading - over 600 stocks worth more than $8 million - with access to information the American people don't have. To quote Rob’s own words from 2024 - it’s sickening.

What Vivek Ramaswamy has done here is despicable beyond words
Amy Acton's brother slams Vivek Ramaswamy featuring her estranged mother in a campaign ad. "After he was arrested and Amy and I were removed from their custody, our birth mother stayed married to Amy’s rapist until he died. This desperate, disgusting attack reveals exactly who Vivek Ramaswamy is at his core – a pathetic excuse for a man who is willing to hurt anyone as long as it gets him what he wants."
