You "shared some tears" because they're holding a Harry Potter event for kids in a park ?
You "disavowed" @jk_rowling ?
Are you in a cult ?
Last night, @ParkBoard did the right thing. Apologized to TGD2S community after emotional discussion. Shared some tears. Disavowed JKR. Will undertake concrete actions to rebuild trust.

This is just my opinion, Aldo, but I think the guy-pointing-at-you motif only really works for injury lawyers, pawn shops, and World War II era military recruitment posters
I think I liked Ireland better when they were a bunch of drunken leprechauns writing amazing poetry, fighting the English, and educating me about Lucky charms
But she must be indigenous because she’s wearing a skirt with a big feather on it
Also, she wrote a whole thesis about how she’s the victim in all of this

In Jan, 2024, we broke the story of Ted Vizzutti, the Powell River paramedic forced out of his job for opposing changing the City's name.
On Oct 17, 2026, Vizzutti was elected to Powell River City Council. All the pro name-change incumbents are gone. newwesttimes.com/news/unreco…

I don't think I met a single person who wanted Alberta to separate. otoh, I met a *lot* of Toronto progressives who never leave the 416, yet were somehow certain that the very fact a referendum was being held meant that every Canadian conservative is treasonous and unpatriotic
"The results ought to demonstrate Albertans for what they truly are — a mostly sensible and pragmatic people, if occasionally very slightly insane. God bless."

great @bradcran summary of monday's action in the Galloway defamation trial
"A.B." falsely claimed Galloway raped her at his office during the 5/5/2011 Canucks playoff game
Turns out she spent the night texting her husband about hockey
He saved the texts

culture warriors are going to see this headline and go nuts. But the message is quite valid (and even welcome)…. Shakespeare & other great writers from the past should be read and enjoyed, precisely because their universal themes can inspire everyone

these daily @bruce_arthur social media train wrecks are arguably the most entertaining content produced by any @TorontoStar journalist.
a year ago Vancouver Parks Commissioner @ThomasDigby1 endured a hysterical struggle session bcuz he’d approved a (wildly successful!) Harry Potter Halloween event (see below). But his teary apologies werent enuf for the ed board at UBC's student newspaper ubyssey.ca/opinion/editorial…

and her campaign is exactly what you expect
I'm just going through the names and reading apologies on gallowayapologies.com/ and came across Marcelle Kosman who is a big believer in "fairness and transparency" and is running for Edmonton school trustee.
great trial update from @bradcran. One reason UBC's creative writing dept believed the false accusations against Steven Galloway is that the accuser claimed CBC lawyers had already seen her claims, & believed them.
It was a complete lie. She never even spoke to a CBC lawyer.
Steven Galloway trial: A.B. claimed CBC's lawyers found her evidence "damning." Today, the CBC journalist who worked on the story was asked under oath if it ever went to the legal team.
"No."
