Eagles DC Vic Fangio on what he sees from the Cowboys’ offense: “I see a well-balanced, talented offense. They've got great receivers, as everybody knows. Their tight end group is really, really good. They've got a good offensive line. Dak [Prescott] is one of the top quarterbacks in the league, and Javonte [Williams] is a good runner. I had him in Denver, so I know what he's all about, and he's really good. They got behind the other night, and it became a passing fest for them, but they'd really like to be more balanced, and I expect them to try and be that.” On if he’s been in touch with Cowboys DC Christian Parker much: “No. We talked right before training camp started, had a text exchange either after the first or second game, but that's been the extent of it. Makes it a little different being in the same division.”

Jerry Jones is “frustrated” and “disappointed” about the current state of the Cowboys, but that hasn’t changed his interest in potentially improving their roster before the Nov. 10 trade deadline. “I’ll be real clear, I would be active if we could get a chance to help the team this year.” Any scenario where Dallas would be sellers at the deadline? Jones: “No. No, I don’t see that.” Jones on the awful NFC East: “It gives me a lot of promise. I see opportunity.” nytimes.com/athletic/7711158…

Cowboys OLB Rashan Gary is not frustrated or angry. He believes the defense is headed in the right direction. “I’m excited, man. Can’t be angry. This game of football teaches a whole lot of life lessons. Another great thing about this game is you can lose one week and you come back to the next week and be on top of the world. So, just trying to chase that feeling, chase consistency once again, but no reason to be mad.”

Cowboys LB DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) is expected to make his return Monday night at Philadelphia. Overshown: “I’ve definitely taken this rehab, this recovery, very serious. I’ve been trying to get back on the field since the week after I got out, so getting this opportunity to go this week. I’m thankful that I’m still able to get to do what I love.” Overshown is in the mix to be back wearing the green dot

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked if he's being creative enough to get George Pickens involved: "Yeah, I think so. At the end of the day, I think you’re always going to be accountable and responsible for when you struggle for two weeks like we have. We don’t have to move George around for him to make plays, but it’s something we’d like to do. I think that falls on myself and the offensive staff to make sure we’re using the things that we need to. “But again, I will say this, in terms of how much we’re playing from under center and how much motion we’re using, those numbers are affected because some of these games we’ve been playing behind the eight-ball and having to go two-minute or uptempo to try to get get back into games.”

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer when asked about Stephen Jones offering him public support today: "I'm focusing on the process of turning this around for myself and the players. Certainly not good enough. We're disappointed with where we're at. We know we need to play better. We know we can play better. I think we have the right guys to do that."

Stephen Jones: “I think we’ve had the pedal down. We have not rested in terms of trying to make our team better. If we saw a situation this week that made our team better, we’d do it. “Really like the personnel on this team. Like our coaching staff. But for some reason right now, and we’ve got to get to the bottom of it, we’re not getting the job done to where we can win football games.” nytimes.com/athletic/7705191…

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on @1053thefan said they “absolutely” believe in Brian Schottenheimer. “There’s not any question in Jerry and my mind. He has the team. There’s no question they want to go out there and execute and make things happen. Feel really good about our coaching staff. We just got to have it continue to evolve and get to a point to where we can win these football games.”

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer: “We’re in a hole. We put ourselves there, and there’s one way out of it. That’s what I told the guys. I said, you got to work, got to find solutions, can’t repeat mistakes. And they understand that. “There’s definitely time to pull out of it. But we got to fix the mistakes that we’ve talked about.” nytimes.com/athletic/7703983…

Dak Prescott: “I don’t have the answer for the whole team and what that is, but I believe in who we are and I know we have the talent and the men that care. We just have to put it together. Our process is right, but we have to win on Sunday.” nytimes.com/athletic/7703983…

Dak Prescott: “Very frustrating. But we got to fix it. And all the guys in that locker room are capable of it. “We put ourselves in this position. We just got to take it one at a time. We just got to go get a win.”
