Aston in Birmingham has one of the youngest populations of one of the youngest cities in the country.
It has had a public library since 1881.

Unhelpful stats referred to here: bbc.co.uk/news/articles/clwe… Maybe relatively low attendance at Aston is due to it only opening for a few hours on 2 days a week & not at all at weekend. #savebirmingham

Back in 2019 I was planning a project in which I’d create a pamphlet for each of Birmingham’s 36 public libraries.
Something very "Are we the baddies?" about the twitter X icon. My finger now always hovers briefly over the button before opening the app as I think, do I want to touch that?

Right guys, some BIG NEWS: @StuartJRitchie and I have started a podcast together, called The Studies Show: you can find it here thestudiesshowpod.com or wherever you find your podcasts. The first episode is about Ozempic, the weight-loss drug: does it work? Is it safe?
My guess is if Australia had a 275 run first innings lead followed by two days of floods there would be less earnest demand for some "common sense" revision of the five day format and more "Welcome to Manchester hahaha".

Birmingham friends, I'll be running a shared reading group at Balsall Heath Library on Monday mornings. Free and everyone is welcome. Come along for a cuppa & enjoy listening to poems & stories. Please help to spread the word. Thank you x

I can’t wait to reveal what I’ve been working on at @ikongallery
I was approached by the gallery and asked if I would be interested in creating an installation to shine a light on people with learning difficulties and/or autism that are trapped in hospitals.
