Imagine seeing the raids of construction sites in your county and having to say to your husband (a citizen & Air Force retiree) “I don’t think it’s a good idea for you to wear work boots when you run to the store anymore.”

BREAKING: In a stunning moment, renowned journalist Scott Pelley just highlighted how Donald Trump is working to stifle free speech in America, and how he plans on fighting back. This is huge.
Showed this video to my husband on another platform earlier tonight & said “I bet this was somewhere around here.”
I recently cut off family members when they expressed anti-immigrant bs.
Specifically because my husband is a latino in Baldwin County & they support this shit.
ICE wrestled Alabama worker to the ground & detain him for hours—he is a U.S. citizen.
Young man was begging & shouting, "I am a U.S. citizen"—but that didn't stop ICE agents from dragging him off to a detention center.
Not following due process hurts us all—and our economy.
His family said that ICE agents did release him after he was finally given the opportunity to prove he was a U.S. citizen—but only after many hours.
This construction site in Foley, Alabama was forced to shut down for at least the day. How many other businesses were affected?

Behold the "largest middle-class tax cut in history"—a dazzling spectacle where the rich pocket $12,000, and you’re graciously handed $1,800. How magnanimous! Meanwhile, a $3.8 trillion deficit looms, and 8.6 million face losing healthcare. Democrats didn’t vote against this out of spite; they saw through the glittering facade to the fiscal wreckage beneath.
And the "violent illegal aliens" trope? A lovely fiction, but DOJ data begs to differ—they’re less violent than citizens. This bill thrives on fear, not facts. If you tire of being dazzled by empty promises, call your reps and senators at 202-224-3121. Demand a bill that doesn’t trade your future for a shiny headline. Let’s see if they can muster a less theatrical response.
Whether they’re your rep, or in the next district over, or across the country, let’s normalize calling representatives to thank them for fighting the uphill battles, especially when they have to take L’s.
And what about the most vulnerable of your constituents, Barry?
$200B cut from SNAP
$600B cut from Medicaid
$500B cut from Medicare
Mention it all, babe.
Morning Joe’s conversation with Dr. Zeke went on for a solid 12 minutes. It’s safe to say everyone was a bit stunned and used exacting language to navigate the conversation.
We just sent Gold Bar Bob to prison for 11 years for taking far less from a foreign country.
Just because he’s announcing the bribe in broad daylight doesn’t mean it isn’t a violation of Article I, Section 9, Clause 8.
Please read the Constitution you swore an oath to uphold.

Wow.
The Chicago Sun-Times published a photo of Pope Leo XIV at the 2005 World Series.
Amazing.
(Link in post below.)

ALT Pope Leo XIV is seen in the upper left corner, smiling while talking on a cellphone at the 2005 World Series. He is wearing a black jacket over a white shirt. In the foreground, a man and a young boy dressed in Chicago White Sox gear cheer excitedly. The stadium is packed, with the brightly lit scoreboard and baseball field visible in the background.
My take is in the immediate aftermath of a murder media seized the opportunity to try Miller in the court of public opinion before any evidence or testimony had been presented & used his fame for their benefit while ignoring damn near every other relevant fact in the case.

He brought a gun when a friend told him he was in a dispute. What the fuck did he think the gun was gonna be used for? Is everyone in Alabama functionally incapable of rational thought? He helped the young mom by bringing the gun that killed her? That’s your take?
Last fall I’m out to lunch in a group, upon learning I’m into Bama hoops an Auburn fan immediately asks what I think about Brandon Miller being involved with “that murder”.
No mention of Darius Miles, Michael Davis, Cedric Johnson… and definitely not Jamea Harris.

“Both sides agree Miller was already on the way to pick up Miles when he received the text”
…yet he’s been drug through the mud for years.
Perhaps @UofAlabama isn’t the place to get my Masters.
Totally turned off by the University’s decision to allow this.
All while Alireza Doroudi sits in a Louisiana detention facility…
