If you are connected to a Christian school with a library, would you be so kind to ask someone to add this to your collection...?

Technically, YOU, the viewer, are just another baby. You are the one in the crib. You see things innocently. You don't know what's going on out there. You want someone to take care of you. And there she is.

Just a security guard reading a book of poems by @fhmcclatchey . Poetry is for everyone.

really? what a narrow view! Anderson did in fact write sympathetically & convincingly about girls & women; even Hemingway has a story from an adolescent girl's perspective, "Up in Michigan," that is a knockout; not to mention D.H. Lawrence, Scott Fitzgerald, Thomas Hardy & (not least) Shakespeare. if men can't write about women, women presumably can't write about men. educated people can't write about lesser-educated people, Black writers can't write about brown people, people from Maine can't write about people from Vermont, no one can write about anyone except the sickly face in the mirror.
Replying to @JoyceCarolOates
Yeah and he's a man purporting to write about a woman's inner life. I'll pass.

If you are interested in Ukraine, I recommend following John Psaropoulos for analysis. (Although admittedly I am biased, as he is my husband.)

The assumption here is that you have to be right wing or angry if you think that Anne Carson isnโ€™t deserving. Thatโ€™s stupid. Anybody who reads books could name five other legitimate living poets.
Any right-winger getting mad about Anne Carsonโ€™s Nobel should be forced to name 5 living poets they wouldโ€™ve given the Nobel to instead

Hey folks! Recently I got a note from a friend excited that the church she was attending was using my paintings on the screen from Four Holy Gospels @crossway. She was excited that my works were being used. She even sent a photo of it. The problem: they did not ask my permission to do so. The artist owns the copyright to their works even if it is used in a book. Even if the presenter gives attribution, the presenter must ask for written permission. The photo showed that the colors were way off. It made me sad. Digital images flatten my images. If I am presenting and using images, I spend at least half an hour to color correct the projector color temps (they are often too โ€œhotโ€). I never use my works as stand-alone images nor as projected images and I never overlay or crop. This is to protect the integrity of the original. Churches - please respect the copyright of artists. Thank you.
