Went to check on my mates this morning. There's nothing like a beehive at the height of summer to remind you how important it is to seize the day and appreciate the gift of life! #HoneyBee #Beehive #Honey #Beekeeper #TopBarHive #Summertime #CarpeDiem

Delighted to see our local cinema is screening #WILDING, a feature doc that I enjoyed working on. Filming Tamworth #pigs foraging for freshwater mussels, we spent a lot of time in mud, dodging pigs that (quite rightly) assumed I had tastier treats hidden away in my kit bags!

Spent last couple of days soaking up the incredible atmosphere at #ApplebyHorseFair My son and I met so many interesting and friendly people happy to share their incredible knowledge with us. A huge thankyou to everyone who made us feel welcome and took the time to chat!

Swarm of wild #honeybees settling in to the #loghive I put up in the #NewForest a couple of weeks ago 🐝 These are Dark #European Honeybees, our native #British species #ApisMelliferaMellifera Feels great to give them a home! 😊 #PhoneVid #HoneyBee #Bees #Hive #BeeHive

Amazing week spent teaching a fab crew of #treeclimbers advanced #canopyaccess techniques, including how to rig rope traverses between trees 🌳 Thanks for joining us guys - you all did brilliantly. Not an easy syllabus, but you nailed it & were a lot of fun to hang out with 👏👏

Installing a log hive for #honeybees in an oak #tree in the #NewForest yesterday. Made by Matt Somerville @_beekindhives_ they provide refuge for wild colonies in the absence of natural cavities usually found in old-growth forest. Thanks Matt! #BeeKindHives
