republicans politicians dropping their acts and finally talking like the ivy league-educated people they are after the blue tsunami is sooooo funny to me lmao
Ron DeSantis explains why the GOP "screaming socialism" doesn't work anymore:
"Young people have a very positive view of socialism compared to capitalism. The question is, why is that? Some of it is the education in our universities. But I think a big part of that is, what they're comparing is not free enterprise versus socialism. What they're comparing is how government gets involved in business, and you have crony capitalism. The best kind of indirect supporters of socialism are some of these corporatist republicans who propagate these crony policies. The average person is seeing that and saying, 'Wait a minute, you're trying to bend the government to funnel benefits to this corporation or that industry. What about having a competitive market? ... Young people really aren't seeing that. They're seeing just a handful of companies that have an outsized influence on our economy and on our society"

Bro, Senator @scott_colom, this was pure genius. Senator Scott Colom attended a Trump rally in Mississippi and spoke with voters as they waited, engaging in pleasant exchanges that simply asked for their views on the issues.

notice the lack of public agenda for Albertans:
have you heard anything about affordability?
about improving health care?
better schools?
no: it's attacks, going after human rights, gerrymandering, sleezy bullshit.
but here's the thing: they know... hence Friday's leaks.
Between the gerrymandering & the coordinated attacks on Nenshi, itβs clear the UCP are shaken.
ABns see the arrogance of the UCP, the attacks on democracy, public Ed. & HC, the corruption scandals, the lies, & lack of accountability.
#FireTheUCP & letβs expose it all. #Ableg

Using your dead husband to sell hot sauce on live TV is INSANE behavior
Erika Kirk: βItβs the little things. I miss Charlie when I see his hot sauce on the shelf, which is now available at grocery stores everywhere.β
Itβs an instinct.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Erika Kirk did not say the hot sauce "is now available at grocery stores everywhere." In the Dec. 2025 clip, she said seeing his hot sauce in the grocery store hits her hard and she wants to buy it.

I wonder if all that money you funneled to Sam Mraiche could have helped with the cost of the repairs
After years of water system failures, flooding and property damage, a new independent report raises serious questions about what the former mayor of Calgary, and Alberta NDP leader Naheed Nenshi knew and what he did about it.
Nenshi was briefed on the concerns, yet the warnings never made it to city council.
Years later, Calgarians are dealing with the disastrous Bearspaw water main failures, not once, but twice.
Residents were forced to boil their water and ration their water use. Meanwhile, the man who led Calgary for 11 years has blamed everyone but himself.
Now, Calgary families are facing water bills projected to DOUBLE over the next three years, exceeding $200 per month.
Nenshi wants to lead Alberta. He canβt even keep water running for Calgarians.

Congratulations to the new Chief of Staff, @StephenM.
Double down on the agenda. Too many people are demanding a change to tough policies because they were unpopular in the midterms. Thatβs foolish and cowardly.
The short term unpopularity of a policy does not make the policy wrong. The Presidentβs priority should be long term benefits (like an Iran without a nuke), not short term popularity.
