🩻 BSTI ASM 2026 🫁 An exploration of the exciting new technology of robot-assisted bronchoscopy. 📣 Dr Haval Balata ➡️ Robotic bronchoscopy allows for more stable biopsy sampling than traditional endobronchial approaches, and allows smaller airways to be accessed. ➡️ An endobronchial approach can allow us to sample lesions not amenable to CT-guided biopsy, for example central lesions, or those close to the diaphragm. ➡️ Multiple nodules can be sampled in one attendance. #BSTI2026 #ThoracicImaging @BSTImaging

🩻 BSTI ASM 2026 🫁 An enlightening talk by infectious diseases consultant Dr Kosmidis on the spectrum of aspergillus clinical syndromes 📣 Dr Chris Kosmidis ➡️ COPD is a risk factor for invasive aspergillosis ➡️ Invasive aspergillosis in ITU patients can have non-classical features including cavitation ➡️ Chronic pulmonary aspergillosis can present as a lung nodule, thus mimicking cancer ➡️ Cavity size is unrelated to chronic pulmonary aspergillosis evolution, whereas size of the intracavitary material and cavity wall thickness correlate with clinical improvement #BSTI2026 #ThoracicImaging @BSTImaging
