Getting to crash-free is virtually impossible for an app like Juno, running CPython and Jupyter locally on iPhone / iPad (especially with Python bridging native Objective-C APIs!).
But I’m very happy with how Juno 4 rollout is going so far!

Just completed part 1 of day 1 of the 2024 Advent of Code. Did it on my iPhone using @junoapps, which remains one of my favorite apps.

Seriously, this iPad/big iPhone + keyboard setup is so good for when you don’t want to be carrying a large computer around. Here’s the apps I found work the best.
@github codespaces works just fine with the iPad. Meaning you can use VSCode and copilot.
If you want a shell @BlinkShell is great.
@junoapps and @WorkingCopyApp if you want local python notebooks and version control.

Also, huge shoutout to @junoapps for an incredible Jupyter notebook iPad app. I use it all the time and absolutely love it.

Tinkerstellar update is out now with a bunch of new Python tutorials: we look into four main built-in data structures in Python — List, Dictionary, Tuple and Set — and see how they perform in different scenarios. 🐍

🚀 Tinkerstellar 1.2 is out now, featuring new labs on k-means and neural networks by very talented @aristako_.
We have also added better trackpad support, improved app persistence, fixed several bugs and (finally!) made Tinkerstellar available on Apple silicon Macs. Enjoy! 😇

🚀 Tinkerstellar is live on the App Store! The app is completely free, and is a great way to experiment with Python, ML and other areas of computational science — go check it out: apps.apple.com/app/id1567374…

There's not a week that goes by where I think this... I love @junoapps. Juno Connect is sooooo good. I love working off my iPad, and having that seamless connection to my Mac mini at home with Juno Connect is just *chef's kiss*. 😃 #datascience #machinelearning #jupyter #ipad

Thanks to apps like Juno, coding on iPad is no longer out of the ordinary — but some aspects of it may still seem puzzling, like file system permissions and paths. Here is how Juno is trying to make it a seamless experience: juno.sh/ios-file-system/

Jupyter (and Lab) is a web app many people use and love. I have been using it for a few months and love the concept. However, the UX is junk.
Switched to @junoapps, and it’s night and day.
