I’m tired. I feel incredibly lucky to make a living as a full time illustrator & artist, balancing commercial client work with my personal art. It’s what I’ve always wanted, even if the dream is to eventually live solely from my own art. But sometimes it gets absolutely exhausting. The highs. The lows. The constant emotional rollercoaster. One moment I feel like I’m finally close to that breakthrough we all dream about. The next, I’m questioning everything, wondering why my work isn't reaching more people or whether I'm doing something wrong. Sometimes I just want to disconnect from social media, forget about numbers, algorithms, visibility & expectations and just make art. I know a lot of artists can relate. Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. I still love what I do & I have so many ideas and plans for the future. I'm just going through one of those lows. I guess it's inevitable and part of the journey. Maybe saying it out loud helps.

some of the most meaningful works begin with a conversation @TheStevenWarner brought something deeply personal to him and trusted me to interpret it through my own visual language, my own world two perspectives meeting through art, finding common ground in ideas that have inspired artists for centuries grateful for the trust, the freedom, and the opportunity to bring this one to life
Here is my commissioned piece by @OnlyCapi, titled “Réssurection.” I’m not going to go too deep into what this piece means to me, my relationship with the Savior, or why I wanted it created. The meaning behind it is more personal and profound than anything I’ve ever shared on here. All I wanted was something that would serve as a constant reminder of what gives my life meaning, what I stand for, and ultimately, why I live the way I do. And it all comes back to this Man, the life He so selflessly lived, and the sacrifice He so willingly made. Capi managed to capture so much in just one piece of art, and for that, I just want to say thank you. Getting to be part of the creative process, watching his vision come together alongside mine, and seeing how he brought something so personal to life was a treat, to say the least. Grateful for the art, the experience, and the meaning this piece will always carry for me. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” - Proverbs 3:5–6
