I hope SOMEONE from Fortune’s Weave gets nominated, there are so many amazing performances. Some of the best voice work I have heard since Metaphor.
Austin being a EDM producer before his gaming Youtube career was not the crossover into my life I expected but an absolutely welcome one
I went to Pokemon Night Out in LA last night and here's some thoughts.
I was an EDM producer and DJ for 12 years before YouTube, I've played on stages, clubs, podcast, radio shows, and over 1000 weddings in my career. And Obviously I'm a Pokemon Fan.
Marshmellow’s set was perfectly fine. But it was just a very generic EDC/Ultra set and wasn’t pokemon-centric at all. There’s a lot of Pokemon-related EDM songs (like Pika Pika by Steve Aoki) and a lot of great bootlegs of tracks like Lavander Town. So it was sad to see NO song selection related to the theme.
Anytime you see visuals synchronized (words on screen, etc) it is a clear sign it’s a prerecorded set, which is the industry standard for big performances.
There was a LOT of people sitting or standing on the floor, never moving, the bars were all empty, not singing any lyrics and just taking video… BUT anytime a pokemon appeared on screen, the stadium cheered. It was the strangest thing. There were some FAT drops, but Gengar showing up during a melody break got a bigger reaction.
It was just an interesting mashup of an event. It was a GREAT EDM show, but I feel like the theme drew a generally non-interested crowd.

Report: Geoff, in cowardly fashion, has deployed his most dastardly trick yet and allowed GTA to be eligible for The Game Awards.

Squad Strike not being playable online was the biggest fumble

it must be so crazy being one of those north american guys who bases their entire online presence around being the best rep of their niche low tier character, and then some japanese dude comes along and top 8s a major with them and u just gotta hold that
Lorde calls out Spotify in new post:
“Hey @spotify i'm gonna go out on a limb n say we don't want this. Not only is this inaccurate (not the song i did that in) but reducing a song to an ai generated meaning right at the source feels like it limits free interpretation imo. At least make it possible for artists to opt out please💘”
