The Cardano Foundation is now a member of CMTA. Following the launch of CIP-0113, CMTA recognized it as equivalent to the CMTAT, meaning issuers can use it to tokenize certifiable shares. Together, we will work to advance standards for tokenized capital markets.
Welcome to the @Cardano_CF as the newest member of CMTA 🤝 We look forward to advancing regulated securities tokenization, together.

no NIGHT was was stolen in the incident (it was limited to EVM chains) wishing best of luck to Binance on their recovery efforts
Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified. The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far. Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete. As an immediate precaution, Binance has: - temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed; - revoked the affected address authorisation; - engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds. Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice. Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions. binance.com/en/support/annou…

It's so fucking crazy that crypto started with decentralization, uncensorability and digital cash but somehow we ended up with most money on exchanges, the most hyped blockchains being freaking robinhood chain & other centralized chains and the main use-case of crypfo being gambling & mirroring the dollar on-chain - but not like digital cash, no we also added freezability. So it's actually worse than cash. And when you talk to people working in the space and tell them you're there for decentralization, somehow you're the weird one. The majority of this industry has seriously gone down then wrong path.

CZ JUST SPOKE ABOUT BINANCE HACK🚨 he says user funds are safe, he also says he expects all user funds to be fully covered This could be the biggest hack in crypto history
Binance just got $2.7 BILLION out in 24 seconds If confirmed this could be the biggest hack of 2026 I’ve been looking at the transactions and, for now, the onchain activity looks much more like an internal wallet migration. Here’s what happened: At 20:24:23 UTC, Binance’s hot wallet known as Binance 14 transferred $2.53B across 64 different tokens. 24 seconds later, another Binance hot wallet sent an additional $174.4M to the exact same address. Total: $2,701,600,000. The assets moved included: - $1.67B USDT - $454.1M ETH (195,470 ETH) - $88.5M RLUSD - $77.1M wBETH - $50.5M XAUt - $50.4M UNI - $43.9M ENA - $38.1M PEPE - $29.7M LINK - $27.7M USD1 The Original Binance hot wallet: 0x28c6c06298d514db089934071355e5743bf21d60 Receiving wallet: 0x5227f603c1ee34ce3c06efe6477003bdfccb2f8c The receiving wallet was created today and had no previous transaction history. Despite receiving billions, it hadn’t started sending the funds to mixers, exchanges or other addresses at the time of the analysis. Another Binance-labeled hot wallet independently transferred funds to the same destination just 24 seconds after the first batch. And the original Binance wallet was still operating 16 minutes later, with approximately $98.6M remaining. There’s one strange detail though. At 20:41 UTC, the same relayer attempted another transfer involving 780M USDC from a third Binance hot wallet. That transfer didn’t complete. So there’s still something worth investigating. Meanwhile, the market is getting destroyed. $BNB: 8.6% $ETH: 4.0% $BTC: 2.7% All down For now, the most important wallet to watch is: 0x5227f603c1ee34ce3c06efe6477003bdfccb2f8c If those funds start moving toward mixers or unrelated destinations, the situation changes completely.

Intersect just returned 115,172 ADA of unspent 2025 budget to the Cardano treasury. It's the first time unused funds have gone back through the treasury smart contract on mainnet, and both transactions are public on chain. Quiet governance news. The good kind.

🔐 Google built a locked vault. The walls are still glass. Picture a bank vault with three locks, and each key lives in a different city. No single thief can open it. That is the idea behind Google Multi Party Compute, which @Google showed for crypto custody on Oct 28. Big institutions are moving real money on chain, and stolen keys are the easiest way in. @CoinDesk, citing Chainalysis, reported that compromised private keys were behind 43.8% of crypto stolen in 2024. According to CoinDesk, a bank could keep one key share in @googlecloud, one on its own hardware and one with another cloud. Before anything is signed, a policy engine checks the bank's rules, like transfer limits or approved wallets. Think of it as a bouncer who checks the list before the three keyholders even meet. Several institutions are testing it, and Alphabet already uses it for its own assets on #Ethereum and #Solana. It is in private preview, with a commercial launch planned for early 2027. Here is the twist. Many people think a safe key means a private transaction. It does not. Once the vault opens, the transfer lands on a public chain where anyone can read it. This is where @MidnightNtwrk takes a different path: zero knowledge proofs let an app prove the rules were followed without showing the data itself. Like showing a guard a stamp that says "over 18" instead of your whole ID. So Google is building a stronger vault, and that is good news. But a vault with glass walls still lets everyone watch what goes in and out. I think institutions will want both: strong locks and frosted glass. discord.gg/gzFxgFSh9
