A senior Google engineer just dropped a 421-page doc called Agentic Design Patterns.
Every chapter is code-backed and covers the frontier of AI systems:
→ Prompt chaining, routing, memory
→ MCP & multi-agent coordination
→ Guardrails, reasoning, planning

Bruno loved books - not just Bruno.
Just learned about the beautiful personal library of a German mining engineer called Bruno Schröder.
His entire house was covered in custom shelves he built himself, housing his life’s work – a 70,000 book collection.
Bruno died in 2022 at 88, while in the midst of digitally cataloguing his massive collection. Sadly, he had no relatives and the house, including the books, was handed to an estate manager and put up for sale. That’s when his story and these photos surfaced.

True.
Writing is thinking.
Writing IS the way to think more deeply.
That's why knowledge management matters.
You rarely solve hard problems in a flash of insight. It's more typically a slow, careful process of exploring a branching tree of possibilities. You must pause, backtrack, and weigh every alternative.
You can't fully do this in your head, because your working memory is too limited. Writing is the external medium that affords the time and precision necessary.
Serious thinking must be done in writing. And that's why you can't outsource your writing, because then you're outsourcing your thinking.

I've just been writing about the critical role of tacit knowledge in change & improvement. As much as 80% of the knowledge in an organisation is tacit & undocumented. Yet this tacit knowledge is most likely to lead to big breakthroughs for innovation and improvement. That's why networks, communities of learning/practice & sharing conversations are often more effective than good practice repositories/portals, metadata or search systems: nickmilton.com/2021/11/why-y…… Recommended reading from @nickknoco
