The Pentagon is treating a rash of freezer malfunctions that affected refrigeration and freezer units at commissaries at several U.S. military bases in August as a suspected cyberattack, according to four officials familiar with the matter who spoke to Reuters. The Pentagon said a Cyber Command unit is “working in close coordination with interagency and law enforcement partners” in the ongoing investigation.
At least six on base commissaries were affected in late August, per Reuters’ review of base social media posts. In at least one case, the cooling units’ temperatures were raised overnight, resulting in spoiled food. Fort Huachuca, Arizona, posted that its freezer “went into defrost mode where it heated up all the food.”
One official said investigators have been in touch with French counterparts about a similar attack that hit more than 350 French supermarkets earlier this month.

incredible crosswalk news: after months of Bass ghosting People’s Vision Zero after this December meeting, Katy Yaroslavsky just passed a motion to instruct departments to formally study a DIY program.
Many other cities have done this, and can’t wait to see it here.

Movements primarily from Biggs Army Airfield continue this morning. Three C-17s are en route to/have arrived at Ovda Air Base in Israel, while two more are in-progress - this brings the total to 8 flights over three days.
Other recorded movements this morning aren't particularly noteworthy. It will take a few of these posts to work out the trends again.

BREAKING: The Pentagon is preparing for a major war that could CRIPPLE America’s power grid, collapse supply chains, and disrupt critical infrastructure on U.S. soil, developing plans to keep military bases operational for 90 DAYS without outside assistance. The initiative, called FORTRESS, includes backup power, fuel reserves, and preparations to convert civilian factories into wartime production facilities.

JUST IN - Pete Hegseth fires the Pentagon’s chief planner, Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia, from the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
only discreet parts of LA favor Karen Bass. Need to see the south portion
USC's @christiangrose came out with a poll today in #CA34 and one interesting datapoint was the LA Mayor's race. He shows @nithyavraman leading @KarenBassLA 54/28, and after a push of undecideds, it goes to 61/33.
Raman winning in her own backyard isn't really noteworthy. She should be ahead here.
But the real kicker is comparing these numbers to the actual mayoral primary results in the overlap of CA34 using my tool at politicaldata.vote/contest/c… That shows the mayoral vote in June in CA34 was Raman 38, Bass 30.
Let you all do that math... but it is ominous.
