French AI just moved from chat to the factory floor.
In 48 hours, Mistral shipped Voxtral 3 for voice agents, then partnered with NVIDIA on AI for industrial engineering: physics models, open benchmarks, and evals for agents in CAE and EDA. Targets: aerospace, automotive, semiconductors.
Underneath sits Mistral Large 4: ~1T parameters, 49B active, trained on 3,800 Grace Blackwell GPUs in Europe, open weights due this month. Compute roadmap: 1 GW by 2030.
Add a €3B raise and AMI Labs' $1.03B seed, and Europe now has a full stack in the making: capital, models, sovereign compute, industrial customers.
The next race is not the best chatbot. It is which agents engineers trust to run a simulation.
Domain spotlight: OpenServer.ai
AI is moving from the chat window into the server room. Open-weight models, self-hosted inference and on-prem agents are now a real buying category for enterprises that cannot send their data to a third-party API.
OpenServer.ai says exactly that:
→ Open: open source, open weights, open standards
→ Server: the infrastructure where models actually run
Natural buyers:
• Open-source inference and model-serving platforms
• Server and GPU hardware vendors building AI appliances
• Sovereign and private cloud providers
• MLOps and self-hosting tools for enterprise agents
Two words, understood in any language, on the extension the AI industry has chosen.

AI compute is splitting into blocs.
US: Terafab, the Tesla-SpaceX chip fab, is in talks with ~10 Korean suppliers and excludes Chinese ones entirely. Phase one: ~$16.8B, ~100k wafers/month expected before 2030, with a goal of 1M within a decade.
China: DeepSeek plans to pre-train on Huawei's Ascend 950DT as soon as end-2026, and is helping design Huawei's future chips.
Europe: the bet so far is sovereign capacity, not fabs. Mistral's 44 MW site south of Paris is built around 13,800 Nvidia GB300s, with a 1.4 GW campus planned near Paris by 2028.
The next AI moat won't just be models. It will be control of the full stack: chips, power, and where the compute physically sits.
Domain spotlight: CloudVPS.ai
Renting AI compute is the hardest it has ever been. The next wave of GPU clouds, neoclouds and AI hosting providers will compete on trust and recall, not just price.
CloudVPS.ai says exactly what it is:
→ Cloud: where AI runs
→ VPS: the product every developer already buys
→ .ai: the category
Fits a GPU cloud, an AI hosting platform or a developer-first inference service.

Orbital compute math: Starmind targets 120 kW sustained per satellite. SpaceX hopes to run its VR72 rack at ~250 kW. So one rack is roughly two satellites, 1 GW in orbit is ~8,300 satellites, and the 1M-satellite FCC filing is ~120 GW on paper. Launch cadence is the real gate.

Le nom de domaine idéal pour une IA française : 6 lettres, mémorisable, que chaque francophone tape tous les jours.
Offres sérieuses en DM.
Orbital compute math:
• Power: solar, no grid queue
• Cooling: radiators to deep space
• Bottleneck: cost per kg to orbit
Google's Suncatcher team puts energy-cost parity with ground data centers at under $200/kg (mid-2030s). Every reused Starship moves that date closer.

The ecosystem read is right. Terafab, Starship, Starmind and the new spectrum are one stack: chips, launch, compute in orbit, delivery to every device.
Nobody else owns all four layers. That's what a global space AI company looks like.
Market take: SpaceX $SPCX entering mobile service? That’s the naive read. What they’re actually building is an ecosystem — and this is just the opening move.
Last week SpaceX agreed to buy up to 14 megahertz of nationwide 800 MHz low-band spectrum from Grain Management for roughly $8 billion. Musk called it “the last critical piece of the spectrum puzzle needed for SpaceX to provide complete phone coverage in America.” That deal stacks on top of the $17 billion EchoStar acquisition — 65 megahertz of mid-band — which the FCC approved back in May. Together, SpaceX now holds exclusive-use nationwide spectrum that lets Starlink Mobile bypass cell towers entirely, and the Big Three felt it: AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile all dropped five to ten percent in extended trading.
But the spectrum is only the ground layer. The FCC has also cleared SpaceX to launch 15,000 satellites for Starlink Mobile Gen 2, with next-gen satellites starting to fly in 2027 and service targeted for the end of that year. And on September 28, Starship reached orbit for the first time, deploying 26 V3 satellites — each delivering about 1 terabit per second of downlink, roughly ten times a V2. A fully loaded Starship can carry up to 60 V3s, about twenty times the capacity of a Falcon 9 launch. Without Starship, none of this scales.
Then there’s the endgame: Starmind, SpaceX’s orbital AI data center constellation — up to one million satellites between 500 and 2,000 kilometers, filed with the FCC in January. The first AI1 satellites, powered by Nvidia chips, are targeted for the fourth quarter of 2027, with significant scale in 2028. SpaceX has already signed deals with Anthropic and Google to rent out orbital compute. Musk’s math: 100 gigawatts of orbital compute per year takes on the order of 10,000 Starship launches, and the long-term ambition reaches a terawatt.
And the broadband layer is already in motion too. In July, SpaceX quietly filed for a 100,000-satellite Gen3 constellation at roughly 323 to 477 kilometers — individual satellites weighing up to 2,500 kilograms, with solar arrays spanning 300 to 400 square meters once deployed. That’s a separate proposal from Starmind, but it shows the same pattern: SpaceX files for numbers that sound absurd, then negotiates down from there.
Here’s the part most people miss: if you want AI agents available to every human on Earth, it’s impossible without space. Terrestrial data centers are already straining power grids, and solar on the ground is intermittent — you need batteries, land, and infrastructure that doesn’t scale to a terawatt. In orbit, sunlight is nearly constant, especially in sun-synchronous orbits, and there’s no atmosphere to filter it. Infinite energy from the sun is the only way to make universal AI access physically possible. SpaceX isn’t building a phone company. It’s building the infrastructure layer for AI itself — ground network to reach people, orbit to compute, and Starship to connect the two.
The orbital compute race, Oct 2026:
🇺🇸 SpaceX: Starmind, up to 1M AI satellites filed
🇺🇸 Starcloud: $2.3B valuation
🇺🇸 Google: Project Suncatcher
🇨🇳 ADA Space: 2,800 computing satellites planned
🇦🇪 Madari Space: backed by the UAE Space Agency
A new economy is forming in orbit.
Every new category needs a name.
This one is available: GlobalSpace.ai 🛰️
