I represented the Prime Minister, today at the launch of PISTOMAG, East Africa’s first locally manufactured Magnesium Sulphate Injection at Piston Medical Ltd in Namanve Industrial Park.
This life-saving drug for managing pre-eclampsia and eclampsia marks a major step in maternal health and Uganda’s medicine security.
It advances our National Goals under the ATMS strategy (Agro-industrialisation, Tourism, Minerals & Oil/Gas, and Science, Technology & Innovation), driving local pharmaceutical manufacturing, reducing import dependence, and building a self-reliant knowledge economy toward the Tenfold Growth vision. – at Kampala, Uganda
