I'm not much to get into discourse, but the finale for Lanterns was great.
If you are unfathomably upset about it deviating from the comics, then you forget that comics do that all the bloody damn time; else we wouldn't have Elseworlds, What Ifs, etc. This is an adaptation, and even if it loosely adapts storylines or does its own original spin, as long as it captures the heart of what makes a Green Lantern story, why care about every single detail being exactly accurate?
It's kind of like the discourse over the new Resident Evil movie. You can like it or dislike it's decisions, but to ridicule it for not being just a 1:1 of the games right down to the plotline is to miss the point of an adaptation. If you want a story about Leon, just play the damn game. The same is true of Lanterns. If you want the same story as the comics, just read the comics. Don't get unfathomably upset because you didn't get the same comic storylines you read from decades ago exactly 1:1, appreciate that it brought people into loving Green Lantern in it's own way because it still has the heart of what makes a Green Lantern story.

Yeah, Ghost in the Shell still holds up. There wasn't any doubt from me.
Now more people can enjoy the original story alongside all of the adaptations we've come to love (except that live-action movie).

Apologies, my absence over the last month was not planned at all, but I got hit with a near case of heat stroke due to the intensity of this heat wave and have been taking it easy.
Now, I'm in a relatively safe space away from the sheer heat and I will be getting back to working on everything I missed over this week.
