now that this is being talked about, i hope this goes beyond people getting called out on the timeline and becomes an opportunity for more people to educate themselves about deforestation and the ongoing forest fires in indonesia are NOT something to be taken lightly and understand why making jokes about it isn’t funny. the damage extends far beyond what makes it onto our screens and the consequences don’t disappear once the online discourse dies down. please keep spreading awareness so this doesn’t get forgotten once the timeline moves on. and if u’re able to donate, here are some donation links to help affected communities, protecting orangutans, and restoring forests: kitabisa.com/campaign/pawerf… heylink.me/salingjagawarga orangutan.or.id/donate orangutan.or.id/fightfires yiari.or.id/donasi/ borneonaturefoundation.org kitabisa.com/campaign/karhut… if u know any other credible donation links or organizations helping with this situation, pls drop them in the replies too so more people can find and support them too. ♡
