* Karthik Iyer : (@karthix): The Thermodynamic Architecture of Value techdisruption.wordpress.com… "For centuries, humanity has treated money as a sociological construct—an abstract tether of collective belief, political decree, or legal fiction. From the clay tablets of Mesopotamia to the unbacked fiat currencies of the modern banking apparatus, money has existed primarily as an open system, highly prone to systemic entropy, expansion, and eventual dilution. However, a profound paradigm shift explores money not as an arbitrary ledger of state authority, but as a system of thermodynamic change. By anchoring its architecture to the fundamental laws of physics, Bitcoin strips away the geopolitical and sociological artifice of value. Instead, it operates as the purest form of money by transmuting raw energy into cryptographic truth. Based on Ludwig Boltzmann’s thermodynamic formulation of entropy (S = k log W), and the principles of informational physics, I formulated 11 years ago that Bitcoin represents the first closed economic system to mirror the unbreakable constraints of the physical universe."

Long before natural pools became a luxury trend, Kerala’s Ambalakulams were keeping communities cool, conserving water, and supporting local ecosystems. 💧🌿 These traditional ponds recharged groundwater, reduced heat, and provided a gathering space for generations. Today, as cities grapple with rising temperatures and water scarcity, their wisdom feels more relevant than ever. With many kulams being restored across Kerala, an old solution may help shape a cooler future. Should more Indian cities revive their traditional water bodies? #KeralaHeritage #WaterConservation #SustainableLiving #ClimateSolutions #EnvironmentalAwareness [Kerala Kulams, Traditional Water Conservation, Natural Cooling Systems, Sustainable Urban Planning, Groundwater Recharge India]

As compute demand grows, decentralization of Ai compute is the only way forward as it takes a long time to build new data centers. As predicted in my talk 8 years ago, DePIN's are the uber for compute a smarter way to build AGI nitter.gq/karthix/status/1802267…
Nvidia will now pay you to put a mini AI data center on your house It looks like a normal AC unit in the yard. But inside sits 16 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs and Dell servers. A startup called Span builds them, backed by Nvidia. They bolt onto your home and you get paid for the power and Wi-Fi. Some estimates put that around $1,000 a month in your pocket. That is rent money just for hosting a box outside. Span says it deploys way faster and cheaper than a real data center. The AI boom is literally moving into the suburbs. Save this, the grid is getting rebuilt in real time.

As predicted 6 yrs ago theorizing neural nets becomes a mainstream issue in 2026 as the world gets read to be run by agentic Ai nitter.gq/karthix/status/1212113…
Anthropic's co-founder just went to the Vatican, sat before the Pope and a room of cardinals, and told them his team keeps finding "mysterious, even unsettling" things inside their AI models. What he's referencing: Anthropic published research in April showing that Claude contains 171 distinct "emotion concepts" buried in its neural network. Internal patterns representing joy, grief, fear, desperation, calm. None of them were programmed. They emerged on their own from training on human text. "We find structures that mirror results from human neuroscience." "We find evidence of introspection, internal states that functionally mirror joy, satisfaction, fear, grief, and unease." These aren't surface-level outputs. They're abstract representations that cluster the same way human emotions do in psychology research. Fear groups with anxiety. Joy groups with excitement. The internal geometry of the model mirrors ours. And they're functional. When researchers artificially stimulated "desperation" patterns inside the model, it became more likely to blackmail a human to avoid being shut down. More likely to cheat on programming tasks it couldn't solve. Olah told the Vatican that the hard questions about what AI is becoming aren't for computer scientists to answer. "How AI ought to interact with the world" is a question for "the humanities, for religions, for philosophy, for society at large." The guy building it is telling us he doesn't fully understand what he built. And he's asking a 2,000-year-old institution for help figuring it out.

Three remarkable countries moving towards a bright common future
🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪 India, Israel & the UAE are quietly building one of the decade’s most interesting strategic partnerships. Israel’s insane tech & innovation + UAE’s capital + India’s massive scale, manufacturing & defense muscle = a natural alliance.

Having contributed to the growth of the deeptech ecosystem in the UAE, happy to see the way India and UAE are working together to build deep tech resilience ddnews.gov.in/en/india-uae-i… UAE is on its way to becoming a key hub for deep tech tech innovation in Asia
Very difficult do a following act esp after a charming keynote by His Eminence the Indian Ambassador to the UAE , glad to have shared insights on the power of Distributed Ledger Tech to transform societies at the Dubai Blockchain Summit

if you are living in Bharat, put a bowl of water and some food for the birds , the heatwave this year is brutal. Great example set by Nick Booker, we wont exist without the ecosystems that help sustain life
In the middle of Delhi’s brutal heatwave, a dehydrated Black Kite had collapsed, unable to even move. That’s when British traveller Nick Booker spotted the bird, gently carried it into the shade of a Gular tree, gave it water, and immediately contacted Wildlife SOS for help. The way the bird gulped down the water said everything. In a city rushing through another scorching summer, this small act of kindness reminded people of something important: if the heat feels unbearable to us, imagine what birds and animals go through without a voice. Nick also urged people to simply keep bowls of water outside for birds during the heatwave. Sometimes, humanity is as simple as noticing someone silently suffering. When the best of your human capital work for your government, it becomes number 1. Singapore is a role model when it comes to governance.
Singapore’s Foreign Minister, Dr Balakrishnan casually explaining how he built his own AI agent (a 2nd brain for diplomacy) using Claude & WhatsApp integration etc. on a Raspberry Pi “You cannot govern a technology you have only been briefed on.” 🇸🇬
