love how katara and aang reference things that they’ve said to each other before. they’re literally mirrors.

i was listening to an audiobook and it was in the perspective of a sweet kid that i couldn't protect, i instinctively started drawing her #ATLA

to the qts saying aang…this literally does not imply to him. aang comes from a pacifist culture where he is the sole survivor of a genocide. making him kill ozai would be asking him to disregard his culture and beliefs when he is literally the only person left to uphold it

"But somehow, the new Avatar eluded me. I wasted the remainder of my life searching in vain. I know he's hiding out there somewhere. The Fire Nation's greatest threat. The last airbender"

what i always loved about atla/the gaang is how quick they are to defend each other especially from danger. they really only had each other during this war and so for them to be so instinctively protective makes me weep

like they really shot tf up when sokka got slashed at, they were already concerned so the second the sword came out they were on their feet ready to go. and got so 🥺 when sokka says he'll do this alone. but seeing how quick they were to fight for each other? ugh thats family

sokka and katara getting so excited to see versions of themselves on the stage only to discover that it’s a propaganda play designed to degrade and dehumanize them 😭 so SICK nitter.gq/thinkersokka/status/18…
