Students&staff joined an online presentation& discussion with @Gen2GenUK this afternoon. Our speaker Vera was brilliant. A meaningful& engaging reminder that history is not just dates and statistics, but made up of millions of personal stories #HolocaustEducation #HistoryTeacher

Are examples of schools replacing written end of year reports with something else or scrapping them all together? I would love to hear the thought process behind these types of decisions. Pls retweet @ChatPhysics @ChatChemistry @chatbiology @cogscisci #edutwitter #reports
The link to last night's #LearnLiveUAE great to hear 7 minutes of wisdom from 7 educators. #edutwitter #cpd #dei

Some great work happening in #ks3history. A department member (not on twitter) has redesigned our #IslamicCivilisations sow, which ties in to our next module- local history of Oman. First lesson is looking at sources to see origins and impact.
Adjusting the lens of our #ks3history suffragette lessons by using the initial context of @History_Pod on WSPU, and then looking at the life of Princess Sophia Duleep Singh - inspired by the work of @tweeter_anita and online resources from @britishlibrary #RepresentationMatters
Thanks! I loved reading about her life, and was pleased to share her story. Of course - more than happy to share the resources. Slides here, and the doc linked on slide 14. docs.google.com/presentation…
Sorry for the work tweet while you are enjoying half term @KKNTeachLearn - but thank you SO much for sharing these excellent structure strips for the dreaded Edexcel Interpretations question. Really helped with pupils getting their thoughts onto paper coherently.
A list of suggested books, movies, tv shows and music put together by our Sixth Formers to share with the rest of the school #BlackHistoryMonth #BHM

So impressed with y12 historians creating the first of their 3 #BlackHistoryMonth assemblies to go out to our whole school. They chose to feature modern trailblazers - @LeymahRGbowee , @GenesisButlerV @WangariMaathai

Using these books kindly lent to me by @teacher_daniels and @EstherMDaniels to help plan our African Kingdoms SOW for year 7; focusing on the rich empires and civilisations pre 1600. #BlackHistoryMonth #AllYearRound
