Not all men were misogynistic at the time, but to ignore misogynistic behavior is also kinda weird We don’t know enough about Henry or William’s relationships with their wives to tell, and while Edwin does love Fiona, that doesn’t make his views less misogynistic

I really hate it when people call characters like Edwin, Henry, William and other male characters misogynists just because they lived in the 70s/80s. Not every man back then was a misogynist, and it's frustrating to see people act like that.

People can be racist Or misogynistic during that time period without it being labeled as such, if they were around today people would just say “it was a different time!” To try and excuse those views. Being raised a certain way to believe certain things doesn’t change anything,
