I’ve learned so much from @Lempp5! So great to have her visit and share in some math joy!
Bucket was filled today spending time in @kestump's math class at @FranconiaES. These young mathematicians made my heart happy!

Our penguins had an inspiring virtual visit with author Natalia Simons! They loved listening to Mexiglish Girl in English and Spanish and learning all about being an author! Thank you for your work @BilingoBooks Thank you @pinapower1 for setting it up!

Educators: Here’s a Saturday must-read. So many excellent points and citations (& bonus: really apt metaphor that will stick with you.)
What do you think of "phonics first" or "phonics only" approaches to beginning reading? shanahanonliteracy.com/blog/…

I love this question!
Instead of relying on test scores that narrow the definition of reading growth, trust your readers to know themselves. Pose the question: How have you changed as a reader so far this school year? Their answers=reading growth. @HeinemannPub

We are reading aloud @JasonReynolds83 Stuntboy In the Meantime in our 3rd grade. We just started scene 2 and at recess I overheard the tagger being called Herbert Singletary the Worst! These children carry books and stories everywhere they go and in all they do! ❤️
