An entire county's ballot scanners went down on Election Day and the ballots are going into bags.
Westchester County, New York. The outage is countywide, the cause is still unexplained, and the Board of Elections is on the phone with its vendors. At the library in Montrose, the youth center in Yonkers, the elementary school in White Plains, voters are filling out paper and dropping it into monitored ORANGE emergency bags to be hand counted later.
The Republican who holds that House seat and the Democrat running against him both said the same thing inside the hour. Stay in line. Do not leave without voting. That part is not partisan and it is good advice.
Then Letitia James posted four words of her own. YOUR VOTES WILL COUNT.
I would like to believe that. The ballots are out of the machine and sitting in a bag, and the Board says the bags get opened first.
So the only question left is the plain one. Who is standing next to the bags until somebody counts them? 💎

The hand reset requirement being reported below may mean that Liberty Vote got all the connectivity parts out of these former Dominion systems ... as they apparently can't remotely reset the ballot paper settings ...
