I'm in the last stretch of my nieyao exchange fic & I'm so nervous. Earliest chapters really flew by, but those last ones are dragging. I never wrote anything long-ish with a plot before & I'm also afraid I got lost in it!
I just wish I had someone I could chat about it, but I'm also afraid that whoever reads it is gonna think it's just mid af so I'll end up scrapping all of it and drawing fanart instead

Tratar aulas que ensinam a dizer “你好(olá)” e “谢谢(obrigado)” como “ameaça à segurança” —— não é prevenir riscos, mas erguer barreiras contra si mesmo; não é autoconfiança, mas paranoia.

The plight of the faceless was well written but Ellora was neglected IMHO, because they had a more than reasonable counterpoint that was barely addressed. They do this to their benders because the storm will kill EVERYONE if they don't. Joining the faceless is killing your family
nieyao moots, if you haven't read 'renew my bones' yet, this is a wonderful moment to because Ode just shared the entire series w us :0 odetoviscera.tumblr.com/post…

I think a lot of us AO3 authors not only publish for people to read... We do so because we also want to meet more friends that connect with the art we make. It sounds banal to say we write for other people to hear us and talk to us, but I think a lot of us do.

when people say they want engagement I don't think most of them mean stats... they just mean they want to be a part of the conversation when you enjoy their works. you freak out about the ao3 outage, missing the fics. but the creators of the fics aren't allowed to miss you?
