I don’t think we need two factor authorization to sign up for the Jersey Mike’s reward program. I think we can play that one a little loose.

omg enough it's just fucking content creation. everyone has been doing it forever. you send a person with a camera to document a business. it's called making a video to promote your email job.
why does tech twitter feel the need to be so precious and rebrand this job every 20 minutes on here?
i'm sorry you aren't a forward-deployed heart feelings engineer. you're just someone who makes content for a saas business. i feel insane.
We’re building out a new program at @NotionHQ:
We call it field storytellers.
Where Internet filmmakers & creators meet local businesses. All around the world. They travel there to apprentice a business for a day/two, and come back with stories, documented and published.
Field storytelling is a bet that stories are best told and relationships are best built when it’s done out on the field.
If you’re great with a camera, love traveling to meet local businesses, and Internet savvy with an audience, reach out 🖤

as a born & raised NYer who can't afford a house where I grew up or where I live in NYC, this talking point drives me nuts.
my family, friends, & career are here. I also want a kid, meaning all of that nearby is integral. but if I want affordability too, I should "just leave"?
Why don't they just leave NYC? I'm not trying to be callous, but there's a whole wonderful world out there that's more affordable.

If franz ferdinand didn’t want to be assassinated he shouldn’t have made a song called “take me out”
derivative brands/creators raced to put on quirky experiential in-person events after the first few OG ones popped off in nyc (starting ~2024)
then like any trend online, whatever appeal they had got subsumed by dorky, low-effort copycats
want more fun in-person stuff, fewer hacky executions of it
