Someone just sent me this picture from a New York newspaper of my last college game against Wagner College in Staten Island, N.Y. on Nov. 23, 1968. I converted six extra points and a 37-yard field goal in our 45-7 victory on a very chilly and windy day.

RIP Mike Ditka 🕯️
The signature play from Iron Mike's Hall of Fame career as of one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history
Returning home to Pittsburgh in 1963, Ditka rumbled 63 yards with a Billy Wade pass late in the game — setting up a Bears field goal to salvage a 17-17 tie with the Steelers.
A key play in the Chicago's 1963 NFL title march
