Armenia has come under unprovoked military assault from US/Western pet Azerbaijan multiple times in recent years, most recently culminating in a violent seizure of historic Armenian land followed by a straightforward ethnic cleansing. The Azeris are now gearing up to attack again. There is little Armenia can do about it, as their arsenal is relatively unsophisticated compared to the advanced weaponry provided to Azerbaijan by Israel and other US allies. There is no pretense of a “police action” or “retaliation,” no claim of foreign powers using Armenia to threaten Azerbaijan (as w/Russia and Ukraine), no claim of needing to root out terrorists (as w/Israel and Gaza). It is naked aggression of a far stronger country against a weaker one for the sole purpose of seizing and ethnically cleansing territory, and it is being carried out with not only the silence, but the connivance of the US-led “rules-based global order.” What a joke.
