Sorry, until George W. Bush is brought to justice for the crimes of the Iraq War, (including American-lead torture, Iraqi deaths & displacement, and the deep scars—emotional & otherwise—inflicted on our military that served his folly), we can’t even begin to talk about kindness.

Here’s the situation: • 109k migrants were encountered at the border in April, highest figure since 2007. • That’s an increase of 591% since April 2017. • 40% of border agents have been pulled off enforcement to process/care for migrants. This is wholly unsustainable.

Proud to cosponsor this legislation. Federal employees should never have to carry the burden caused by a dysfunctional government. The President, Vice President and Congress should have to feel the same pain and uncertainty that our federal employees face during a shutdown.

Federal workers don’t get paid during a gov't shutdown. Neither should Congress. It’s just common sense. I'm introducing the bipartisan Solidarity in Salary Act today with @RepDanCrenshaw and @RepMaxRose to withhold pay from Congress, @POTUS, & @vp during a shutdown.
