Uniswap v4 has massive update and deployed it public. Aggregator Hooks wrap external liquidity sources and turn them into Uniswap pools. Live today on Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain in the Uniswap Web App and API. Each Aggregator Hook becomes a v4 pool the router treats as native liquidity. Swaps through them pay protocol fees that go toward UNI burn. At launch, 7 sources cover more than 90% of all DEX activity across those chains. This is one of the cleaner expressions of Uniswap’s development style I’ve seen in a while. v4 was never just “concentrated liquidity with hooks.” It was a bet that the protocol could remain the settlement and routing layer even as liquidity fragmented across other AMMs, intent systems, and specialized venues. Aggregator Hooks make that concrete. External liquidity is not routed around Uniswap; it is absorbed into the v4 pool model so the existing router, fee logic, and user surface continue to work. The user experience stays unified while the protocol still captures value on the flow. The fee design is consistent with the post-UNIfication direction. Protocol fees are not distributed to UNI holders. They are used to burn UNI. Every additional source of volume that can be wrapped therefore has a direct, mechanical effect on supply. That is a deliberate choice: prioritize long-term scarcity and protocol alignment over short-term yield. It is also a relatively low-drama way to expand the economic surface of the protocol without rewriting the core AMM. What stands out is the incremental, hook-driven approach. The team is not trying to rebuild aggregation from scratch or compete feature-for-feature with every aggregator. Coverage of >90% of DEX activity on the three chains at launch is meaningful, but the more interesting part is the architecture: new sources can be added by deploying or updating hooks rather than by changing the router or the core contracts.
