I couldn't possibly be any more bullish on the creator economy right now: > Oliver Darcy has 100K+ subscribers generating $1M+ in ARR shortly after leaving CNN > CatGPT was working as a Chief of Staff a year ago… now she's a full-time creator with almost 1M followers > a newsletter for magicians with 10k readers makes $70K a year through subscriptions (just one example of thousands of niche newsletters on @beehiiv) > my own newsletter makes ~$400K a year as a side project > everything at Cannes Lions (the panels, the events, the parties) was all centered around the creator economy > box office hits are being led by and directed by YouTubers (on sub-million dollar budgets) > studios are now casting creators in films, knowing they'll get the added distribution of those creators promoting on their channels > Ramp, Rippling, Notion, Vanta, a16z, & Microsoft are all actively investing in storytelling and editorial roles > CAA and TPG just launched a $250M fund purely to acquire creator led media businesses & people are still only just waking up to how big of an opportunity this is
