Today is the day of historic surrender by associations before DFS / IBA In a Five star hotel in Mumbai .And a day they have accepted to surrender .Today is international women's day and in our culture women are a form of Shakti .
Today 9 th joint note is being signed one year earlier than the previous joint notes and without even notice of strike and this is being touted as a major achievement but at what cost . not a single major demand of charter of demand has been accepted by team DFS / IBA .
1
Total increase of 17 pc over march 22 pay slip is reasonable but much below our expectations in view of current record profitability of PSB .
2 in COD we demanded basic salary at par with RBI / LiC and central government.reality our new basic will be 40 pc less than RBI / LIC / central government .with pathetic 3 pc loading in existing basic .
DFS / IBA won
3 COD demanded merger of special allowance with basic reality around 1100 basis point increase in special allowance.
IBA / DFS won
4 COD demanded OPS for all reality no serious discussion on this issue .
DFS / IBA won .
5
5 days of work banking
MOU signed on 7/12/23 said union / association demanded implementation of 5 days work banking before signing of BPS / Joint note .
Reality they are signing it day without implementing 5 days of work banking.
And now we are on mercy of government of India regarding date when 5 days of work banking will be implemented .
6 defined working hours
Do discussion/ progress at all .
7 pension updation
COD demanded pension updation.
In reality we are getting ex gratia of paltry few thousands to 7.5 lakh pensioners around 20 pc of them retired prior to nov 2007 getting crums as pensions.
In my 39 years of my banking life this is the first time apex level associations have surrendered before DFS / IBA without even putting a semblance of fight .total surrender.
These spineless apex level association representatives have made bankers Life miserable with no relief in sight .
History will remember them as surrender shree
On my way to Aurangabad Bihar for association works.

How fast you walk may be telling us how long you may live...
🟢A new study of >4,000 adults followed for nearly 12 years found that both walking speed and walking cadence (steps/minute) in daily life were associated with lower risk of death from any cause.
🟢People who walked faster, whether measured in a clinic or through wearable devices, had significantly lower all-cause mortality risk.
What could explain this association?
✅ Faster walking reflects better cardiovascular fitness
✅ Stronger muscles and better balance
✅ Healthier brain and nervous system function
✅ Better metabolic health and insulin sensitivity
✅ Greater overall physiological reserve and resilience
▶️In many ways, walking speed acts as a simple "vital sign" that integrates the health of multiple organ systems. This interpretation is consistent with the observation that both clinical walking speed and free-living walking cadence were similarly linked to mortality risk.
▶️An important related point to note is that previous research has shown that higher daily step counts are also associated with lower mortality risk, and this study suggests that how briskly you walk may matter in addition to how much you walk.
My practical advice:
1. Aim to walk every day.
2. Increase your daily step count gradually if you are inactive.
3. Include periods of purposeful/brisk walking where conversation is possible but singing is difficult.
4. Older adults should pay attention not only to distance walked but also to maintaining walking speed and mobility.
5. If you notice that your usual walking pace is slowing without explanation, discuss it with your healthcare professional.

An awkward moment for @nsitharaman.
She set out to attack Rahul Ji. But being handed a draft and directions from the PMO to launch a tirade against him doesn’t mean she is privy to all the plans and plots.
It appears her party and Cabinet colleagues didn’t even bother to inform her that Tata Trusts and Tata Sons were hosted at Amit Shah’s residence.
She was merely used to 'project' a blunt front in the face of Rahul Ji post.
The irony is that while she was busy mounting a rather old and obsolete attack on Rahul Ji again, she had more reason to worry about her own place in the party.

SHOCKER. The @ECISVEEP’s “Logical Discrepancy” list was allowed only as an “interim measure,” its validity not yet established, says Supreme Court. Oh really, Your Lordships? So you allowed a potentially ILLEGAL ‘Logical Discrepancy’ list to delete 27 lakh eligible voters in Bengal?! Is this justice? And only now — now that Bengal assembly elections are over, and bona fide citizens have not been allowed to vote—only now the apex court will examine the legality of the @ECISVEEP’s move ? If there was fairness and justice, Gyanesh Kumar would be OUT and there would be a free and fair RE-ELECTION in Bengal.

Very significant hearing in the Supreme Court today in our Delhi SIR matter.
- The Court questioned why deleted voters (ASDD List) are being asked to fill Form 6 and make a false declaration that they are new voters, even though they were on the 2026 electoral roll. Court termed this a structural incongruity, which has to be addressed. Instead of filling Form 6, such people should be allowed to fill enumeration form or Form 8 for those who shifted.
- Details of 47 lakh people on the ASDD list must be easily accessible, in simple Hindi and in the local area at the booth or block level. ECI must reach out to such people as many of them would be labourers, hawkers, daily wagers etc.
- Deadline should be extended for filling of enumeration form or Form 8 as there are no elections scheduled to be held in Delhi.
- The bench clearly stated that they HAVE NOT ADJUDICATED upon the legality of Logical Discrepancy category. Said that it was not adjudicated upon in the Bihar SIR case and clarified that they had only allowed it as an interim measure for West Bengal.
Matter listed for hearing after 2 weeks.
#SupremeCourt to hear today a plea by transparency activists Anjali Bhardwaj and Amrita Johri challenging ECI's SIR in Delhi, and in particular, the requirement for deleted voters to file Form 6 (meant for new voters) to seek re-inclusion in the rolls

Being the LoP @RahulGandhi, I suggest you refrain from politicising every issue. Also, casually labelling commercial and legal matters as criminal is unacceptable.
You have repeatedly decried the successes of Indian industry & our entrepreneurs. Now, are you trying to incite our business leaders to join you in spreading distrust & toxicity?
For decades, your party had smothered the spirit of the Indian entrepreneurs under the stifling ‘Licence-Quota Raj’ & inflicted poverty on crores of Indians.
On the other hand, our government led by PM @narendramodi values the Indian industry as job creators & drivers of economic growth. Our policies have been tailored to enable enterprise, support industry and encourage investment.
Political parties, leaders, governments and institutions share an equal responsibility to support our industry, strengthen our farmers and secure the future of our youth.
Therefore, it is essential to engage constructively rather than casting baseless aspersions to suit your narrow political motives.
The Constitution of India ensures justice to all its citizens & our Honourable Courts are entrusted with upholding it. History is witness to the shoddy manner in which you, your party and the PMs belonging to your party have demeaned the judiciary.
So Rahul ji, refrain from seeing ghosts everywhere.

#BREAKING Supreme Court has not upheld "Logical Discrepancy" category; in Bengal SIR, it was permitted only as an interim arrangement; Bihar SIR did not have LD category ,so it was not adjudicated, says Justice Joymalya Bagchi.
Replying to @LiveLawIndia
CJI: how many booths?
Naidu: 15000 booths
CJI: let's say you have 200 blocks, every block should have this list of 43 lakhs...those who have not been able to fill form. So wherever you go, that list should be readily available. So that person who has shifted is able to find out that name is missing. then he can be asked to fill Form 8. Verification we understand.
Naidu: Their apprehension is Form 6 declaration
CJI: Your 1 statement or circular in simple language can clarify that Form 6 is required to be filled by only those who want first time enrolment in Delhi
J Bagchi: In Bihar SIR, we said ECI has residual power. But You can't touch Forms. Form 6, 7 and 8 are cast in stone. You can add points. [You can ask for] A declaration by the person when he is making claim/objection why you did not respond. Mr Bhushan, it's a wise constitutional authority. What they have independent spl. revision where they are putting 2003 as cutting mark and then verifying entries. We are not commenting on the LD. What's really a concern is...rule 13 of Rules...they have not gone by Rule 13...their argument was rules are not governing SIR process...there must be some application of mind as to why an elector to whom enumeration form has been given, did not respond. Your characterization is exhaustive. But there may be residual characterization. That person could not respond. Reason for non-responding can be given
Naidu: Every step of SIR this court has watched. In Bihar [...]
J Bagchi: Bihar SIR is not a binding precedent. There ECI had not undertaken LD as a category. We have permitted you in Bengal as interim arrangement. We have not finally adjudicated on legality of LD. We don't want to make further comment. A man in 2003 list - how can this SIR reopen his entry on LD? A question which never fell for question in Bihar judgment [...].
