#CoachingTip “Coaching requires a lot of time and sacrifices, but so does being a husband and father. It’s your responsibility as a man to find, establish and consistently maintain that balance. Marriage or fatherhood is not meant to be a routine outside of your career. Regardless of who you’ve worked for, read up on or studied to become a better coach, research and study who they are at home, not in the office. It’s hard for me to admire or respect a man as a leader who neglects the most important aspect of leadership in his life. Regardless of how successful they appear, don’t let no one fool you into thinking you have to be in the office all day or night in order to be an effective leader or coach. Those coaches are generally miserable people, who make everyone around them miserable as well. Your job will never apologize to your wife or kids for taking you away from them and it won’t apologize to you when they resent you for it. I’d rather be forgotten or not remembered as a coach, than resented or viewed as a failure as a husband or father.” #Ap2w

The best assistant coaches are culture builders.
They reinforce the standard when no one is watching.
They coach the last player on the bench like a star.
They lead without needing the spotlight.
Championship programs are built on their shoulders.

The Gallop and Slam technique is an excellent alternative to traditional double-team blocks. It can be used on the Power, Counter, and Duo. It eliminates both linemen, leaving a DL unblocked while they both climb to the second level.
