The saddest part about all this Eurovision drama was that the contest had just started a golden era that could probably last for a long time, but it barely even started. They went from their highest high to lowest low in a very short amount of time.

A horrific Russian strike in the Kharkiv region. A “shahed” struck people directly – in a park near an ordinary café. Pure atrocity. Six people were killed, including children. A little girl was killed in a stroller – her name was Angelina, she was just over a year old, born in August 2025… Her mother’s name was Inna. She died in the hospital… Another girl who was killed was 11 years old. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Another 14 people were injured, including six more children.
I am grateful to everyone who supports Ukraine under these circumstances and helps us shoot down “shaheds,” shoot down missiles, and stop Russian assaults. These are horrific photos, but behind them are shattered lives and the truth about this war. Lives must be protected. Ukraine needs air defense. You can't think about making money with Russia as long as it continues its asinine war. We ask that sanctions on Russia stay in place as long as the killings continue. We ask America to be strong, and we ask it to apply the Lindsey Graham law. We ask Europe to continue its support. We ask that everything possible be done to bring peace and guarantee security. Ukraine wants peace. It is Russia that has insisted on continuing the killing all this time. The world has enough strength to stop the war. That strength must finally be used – against the murderers.

The people of Latvia know firsthand how hard it is to win independence from Russia, and Latvians have been among Ukraine’s staunchest supporters. Thank you for your heartfelt congratulations, President @edgarsrinkevics.
Героям слава!

Please watch and consider that Russia is proudly targeting and murdering Ukrainian children, and that there are real people operating these drones. That they have commanders all the way up to Putin authorizing this terror campaign.

Let russia in? The first thing they’ll do is steal. In this case — from those their country kills.
This tune is Shchedryk by Mykola Leontovych, a Ukrainian composer murdered by russia.
This performance is literal dancing on a grave.
the AUDACITY to reduce an entire country to nothing more than the fact that it shares a border with its aggressive neighbor

saying "almost in russia" in regards to a country that has tried very hard made their identity "we are Very Much Not Russia" for decades has to be some sort of microaggresion

the fact he could've just not said that, it just feels deliberate at this point

Today, many were shocked by yet another video of the drone “safari” Russians are carrying out against civilians in Kherson. A Russian drone deliberately hunted down a man selling vegetables and detonated right next to him. The Russians even admitted to the crime, showing zero regret and openly boasting about tormenting people. The man was wounded in the blast. Every single day, ordinary people in Kherson face these Russian "safaris."
The world must see this. It must see every piece of evidence that Russia has gone mad and that its soldiers take pleasure in killing and abusing civilians. Without pressure on Russia, the dismantling of its capacity for aggression, and real security guarantees, it is simply impossible to imagine the world being able to coexist with this evil. We must remain resolute in defending life. We must act and support life in ways that force Russia to seriously think about peace rather than expanding the range of its drones.
This is not just about Ukraine. Russia’s campaign against human life must be stopped here in Ukraine before it spreads further. Finland and Kazakhstan, the Baltic states and Poland, the countries of the South Caucasus, Romania, and Moldova—all should work together to ensure real security guarantees and bring Russia’s war to an end. Peace is needed, which requires cooperation among everyone in the world who truly values peace. Thank you to everyone standing with Ukraine!
