The global #AI race is being increasingly defined by asymmetry across the stack. While the #US remains dominant in frontier models, capital, and hyperscale infrastructure, #China combines growing model strength with scale in patents, publications, and open-model diffusion. For middle powers, the question is to secure leverage in selected layers of the stack and avoid forms of dependence that cannot easily be reversed.
@orfmiddleeast is hosting an online panel discussion "The Role of Middle Powers in the Age of AI" where the experts will assess how middle powers are increasingly seeking to build open #ecosystems, trusted regulatory environments, and high-value applications suited to their own talent base and digital maturity.

USIBC was delighted to host Jason Oxman, President & CEO of Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), in New Delhi. Mr. Oxman discussed avenues for US - India Technology partnership, in sectors such as AI, Telecoms, cross-border data flows, etc remarking India's key global role.
Specifically, in view of the upcoming AI Impact Summit in early 2026, Mr. Oxman remarked how the development and deployment of AI is not restricted to software development alone but requires a concerted effort from hardware manufacturers, data centres, power production, energy storage, access to credible data as well as standardization across geographies.
