> Pharos pourra exiger le retrait de messages qui appellent à des violences, des vols ou des dégradations, s'ils risquent un "trouble grave à l'ordre public"
> Retrait sous 24h... sinon blocage du site et déréférencement
> Pour les appels à l'insurrection : retrait "dans l'heure"... sinon blocage
> La plateforme qui traîne : 6 mois de prison, 150 000€ et jusqu'à 2% de son chiffre d'affaires mondial
> Aucun juge avant le retrait. C'est l'administration qui demande
La justification officielle :
"Les réseaux sociaux peuvent contribuer de manière décisive aux violences"

In a massive escalation of its crackdown on independent media, Egyptian authorities today ordered the closure of Mada Masr, Egypt’s leading independent news outlet.
This is a brazen attack on press freedom and an attempt to silence one of the last major independent voices in Egypt. This comes on the heels of the arrest of the entire newsroom from Matsadaash, another independent news outlet, just a few weeks ago.
Egypt must reverse this decision, release all wrongfully detained journalists, and end its assault on the free press.
