Had Claude analyze and optimize a side hustle website for SEO/AEO. Have started getting referrals now for ChatGPT. Not a lot, but 2 in a week for no effort. Going to setup a routine in Claude to just update the sites SEO/AEO on a weekly basis, based on latest best practices.

I don't use Figma anymore. Grok bot is our chief design engineer. I didn't hire anyone. I set up a grok bot on @bot and gave it a title: chief design engineer. It doesn't ship for me. I still approve every design, but it does basically everything else. Last week, it dug through our data, found two design flaws, and shipped an update. Since shipping: Our platform engagement grew by +22% Traffic quickly grew by 10%. Here's what it actually does every week: - turns drop-offs in our analytics into one design for me to approve on @paper - studies the best apps to see what's working - writes up every idea in @linear with the problem and the fix - tells me when a design is good enough so i don't overpolish it - waits for my pick before anything ships It's not magic. some designs are meh and I tell it so. I just pick one.

Further evidence we’re living in a simulation.
Excited to share Genie 4 today our most realistic and interactive world model: - steer dynamic environments in real time, shaping events, camera angles, and actions - generate native audio matched to the world, from realistic background sounds to characters who can converse in real time! - simulate photorealistic scenes and real-world physics - create more coherent multi-step events through reasoning from Gemini We've started to roll out as a research preview to trusted testers. Coming soon to Google AI Ultra subscribers in Project Genie and early access partners via the Gemini API and AI Studio.

every product i use should just be a headless mcp, that feeds into an agent, where i never have to think about anything underneath. except for our product, of course. in our product, customers love the ui and love us very much. we're special that way.

Design straight to code — that’s been my case for over a year. I point people to repos. The source of truth is the code. I’m seeing a lot of scary stuff about people still drawing rectangles. Unless you make assets for marketing materials… Code. Software has been solved.

Designing some internal tools for work. Not sure why it took me so long, but just realized AI makes it super easy to put some easter eggs in any software. First up, Konami Code. Turns the entire interface 8 bit.

We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence. block.xyz/dessa

one thing i noticed after a month of calls with designers is a weird generation gap between people who are scared of ai and people who are excited about it you would expect younger designers to be more into ai, but it’s often the opposite. the most excited people i meet have been in design for 12+ years designers with about 5 years of experience came into a world that was stable: big design teams, enterprise jobs, high salaries, and a slow process of design systems and jira tasks. ai is a huge risk if you define design work around components. it’s pure production, it needs to be automated, and it was an anomaly from the start people who started 12+ years ago saw a design world without any of that. small freelance gigs, low pay, and no way to do 3d or animation on your own. but they had a lot of ideas, and that’s why they came. they worked in photoshop cs3 and indesign and downloaded brushes from the internet now design is going back to what it should be. not a huge layer of production, but meaning, purpose and form

"Product" means working backward from an interface. The interface -- human, API, CLI -- is where the value happens.

Scientists found a way to flush Alzheimer’s plaque out of the brain in minutes. Without any surgery and drugs. Your brain has a waste-clearance network called the glymphatic system. It flushes out toxic proteins and dead cells. But it only really activates during deep, slow-wave sleep. If you don't sleep, the trash piles up. Over time, that buildup leads to cognitive decline and Alzheimer's. Until today. Researchers just published a paper proving they can manually trigger this cleaning cycle. Without you ever going to sleep. They used 40.68 MHz ultrashort waves (USW) beamed non-invasively into the brain. Within 10 minutes, the brain's fluid flow rapidly accelerated. The waves artificially synchronized the neurons into a Delta state, the exact frequency of deep sleep. This forced the brain's water channels to open and start flushing out the system. They tested it on mice with traumatic brain injuries and Alzheimer's pathology. The brain swelling dropped. The toxic proteins were cleared out. Cognitive deficits actually improved. No surgery. No massive chemical interventions. Just a frequency.

Would be a good topic for a book
Palmer Luckey warns America cannot compete with China’s population advantage forever through innovation alone: “We need 1 BILLION Americans minimum. Probably more like 2 or 3 billion.” 🇺🇸🇨🇳 “Yes, we need to get our act together. We need to do better at manufacturing, at defense, all these things. But everything is just biting around the margins if we’re 350 million people and they’re 2 billion people who are roughly the same. How exceptional do we have to be to achieve a 10-to-1 ratio forever, in perpetuity? It’s not practical. It’s not logical. I would say it’s even possibly a racist thing to believe that we can be so much better than China and the Chinese people that we’ll just beat them with a tiny fraction of the population. We need to do better with what we’ve got. But we also just need a lot more people. We need 1 billion Americans minimum, probably more like 2 or 3 billion, with better demographics and better natural resources. The Dutch once had the most powerful navy in the world. They didn’t lose that position because they fell behind on factories or shipbuilding. They became economically irrelevant.” Both countries are competing with respect to declining birth rates. Both nations must be more willing to have children and expand the population growth exponentially over the next decade. The current economic path is unsustainable if our labor force begins to shrink even with artificial intelligence on the rise.

As a host, this is generally a good thing. No guest should be required. We do politely ask to load dishes and take out garbage, but it's never a requirement.
JUST IN: Airbnb announces new rules banning hosts from requiring guests to wash dishes, do laundry, strip beds, or take out garbage before checkout.
